Your guide collects you from your hotel in the late afternoon, timed so the first stop catches the best light of the day. At Wat Phra Yai, you'll climb the ceremonial staircase between twin naga serpents to reach the hilltop platform where the golden Buddha sits overlooking the city — your guide covers the temple's history and the etiquette of a working Buddhist site, and there's time for photos as the statue glows in the lowering sun.
A short drive brings you to the Khao Phra Tamnak viewpoint just before sunset. This is the moment the tour is built around: the bay curves away in both directions, the sky does its show, and the city's lights begin to take over as dusk deepens. From there it's down the hill to the Marina Night Market, where your guide points out the stalls worth queuing for — grilled prawns, som tam, sticky rice desserts — and you eat your way through dinner one skewer at a time. The evening officially ends at Walking Street, so you can step straight into Pattaya's neon heart or call it a night from there.

Lovely way to see a different side of Pattaya. The Big Buddha at golden hour was beautiful and our guide explained the temple customs so we didn't feel awkward. Then the viewpoint for sunset over the bay, then street food at the night market. Perfectly paced.
Excellent guide who clearly loves the city. He timed everything so we hit the viewpoint just as the sun dropped, and at the market he recommended dishes we'd never have picked ourselves. Small group and a relaxed atmosphere.
Really enjoyed this. Wat Phra Yai is impressive and peaceful, and the guide's explanations gave it context rather than just being a photo stop. The night market was buzzing and full of things to try. Good introduction to evening Pattaya.
Good tour with a knowledgeable guide. Note that food at the market is not included in the price, so bring cash — though everything is cheap. The sunset viewpoint was the highlight and worth the trip on its own.
