La baie de Phang Nga est un paysage karstique noyé de quelque 40 tours calcaires qui surgissent d'une eau verte et peu profonde entre Phuket et Krabi, rendu célèbre par le film de James Bond de 1974 tourné à Khao Phing Kan, l'île qu'on appelle aujourd'hui l'île de James Bond, petite, fréquentée et qui vaut vingt minutes. La raison de venir, c'est le canoë dans les grottes marines : à marée basse, des canoës gonflables se faufilent par des tunnels jusqu'à des lagons cachés (les hongs) à l'intérieur des îles, cernés de falaises et de mangroves, et c'est la marée qui décide de l'itinéraire. Koh Panyee, le village de pêcheurs musulman sur pilotis, est l'arrêt du déjeuner. Les sorties en bateau à longue queue depuis le côté Phang Nga sont plus calmes que les hors-bord au départ de Phuket.

Sehr gute Organisation. Zuverlässiger Fahrer. Mittagessen kann im Restaurant auf der Insel gekauft und gegessen werden. Leider war das Wasser beim Schnorchelplatz aufgewühlt und die Sicht schlecht. Ist abhängig von der Strömung und dem Wetter. Schöner Strand zum Baden. Wenig Leute unter der Woche.

L’heure de prise en charge (9:00) n’est pas adaptée pour un départ du bateau à 10:00 à l’embarcadère. Le chauffeur n’avait plus d’essence dans son véhicule, il a donc fait un arrêt puis il a conduit à toute vitesse pour être à l’heure en nous faisant prendre des risques sur la route. C’est inacceptable ! Nous étions très mal à l’aise pendant ce trajet et ça était pareil au retour. Il ne parlait pas anglais et la communication a été difficile et pratiquement inexistante. L’île est très belle, nous avons fait 30 minutes de snorkeling et le reste du temps de la baignade et c’est tout ! Tout cela
