Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Journey from Bangalore to Agra via Delhi

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup at 6:00 AM from your hotel in Bangalore or the Delhi NCR area, where you'll board a comfortable air-conditioned sedan to Kempegowda International Airport. You will take a morning flight to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your private driver who will whisk you away on a scenic 3.5 to 4-hour drive to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway. As you travel, enjoy the picturesque views of the Indian countryside, dotted with small villages, lush fields, and glimpses of daily rural life.

Once you arrive in Agra, check in to your hotel and take some time to freshen up. For lunch, you can choose to dine at your hotel or a nearby restaurant offering authentic Mughlai cuisine, famous for its rich flavors and royal heritage. In the evening, head to Mehtab Bagh, a serene garden complex located on the opposite bank of the Yamuna River. From here, you'll witness the Taj Mahal bathed in the warm glow of sunset, a truly magical sight as the monument’s white marble glistens against the twilight sky. After this unforgettable experience, return to your hotel for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 2: Sunrise at the Taj Mahal and Journey to Jaipur

Rise early to catch the ethereal sunrise at the Taj Mahal, when the monument’s marble surface changes hues with the soft morning light. This is one of the best times to experience the Taj Mahal’s exquisite beauty and capture stunning photographs without the crowds. Following this, embark on a guided tour of the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Your knowledgeable guide will immerse you in the fascinating Mughal history behind these UNESCO World Heritage sites, explaining the intricate architecture, symbolism, and stories of love and power that echo through the grand structures.

After a morning filled with cultural exploration, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or your hotel, savoring the flavors of traditional North Indian fare. In the afternoon, prepare for your drive to Jaipur, the vibrant Pink City of Rajasthan, which is approximately 4 to 5 hours away. As you travel, you’ll pass through changing landscapes, from fertile plains to arid desert terrain, offering a glimpse into Rajasthan’s diverse geography.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in to a luxury hotel where you can relax and refresh. In the evening, enjoy a lovely dinner at the hotel or a nearby restaurant, soaking in the charm and hospitality of this historic city before an overnight stay.

Day 3: Exploring Jaipur’s Royal Heritage and Return to Bangalore

Start your day with a guided sightseeing tour of Jaipur’s most iconic landmarks. Your first stop is Amber Fort, a majestic hilltop fortress known for its expansive palaces, ornate courtyards, and panoramic views of the surrounding Aravalli Hills. Explore the grand halls and intricate mirror work that reflect the splendor of Rajput royalty.

Next, visit the City Palace, a royal residence that houses museums, courtyards, and gardens. Here, you’ll see a fascinating collection of artifacts, textiles, and armory that narrate the history of Jaipur’s maharajas. Continue to Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, famous for its honeycomb façade with over 900 small windows designed to allow royal ladies to observe street life without being seen.

Your final cultural highlight is Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage astronomical observatory featuring impressive stone instruments built in the 18th century to study celestial movements. Your guide will explain the scientific and historical significance of this unique site.

After this enriching morning, enjoy lunch at a local

Flying from Bangalore instead of doing an endless drive was the best decision. The sunrise at the Taj was breathtaking, we practically had it to ourselves for the first half hour. Our guide knew exactly where to stand for photos and got us the golf cart right up to the gate. Agra Fort in the afternoon was a highlight I hadn't even expected.

Did this for my parents' anniversary and it exceeded expectations. Both hotels were genuinely 5-star and the breakfasts were excellent. The private car between Agra and Jaipur meant we could stop whenever my mother needed to rest. Amber Fort was her favourite. Everything from the flights to the shoe covers at the Taj was handled for us.

A very well organised trip and superb value for what's included. My only honest note is that day two is long, the sunrise start plus the drive to Jaipur made for a tiring day. Worth it though. Jantar Mantar was fascinating and our guide explained the instruments clearly. Just go in knowing three days is a fast pace for the Golden Triangle.

The Hawa Mahal and City Palace in Jaipur charmed me completely, the pink buildings glowing in the afternoon light are unforgettable. What impressed me most was how seamless the logistics were, no queuing for tickets anywhere, no arguments with drivers, just a smooth private car and a guide who clearly loved his city. Mehtab Bagh at sunset was a lovely surprise addition.

Coming from Bangalore for just three days, I worried it would feel rushed, but the flights made it work perfectly. The Taj at dawn in November was cool and misty and absolutely stunning. Our driver was punctual for every transfer and the AC car was spotless. Great way to tick off the Golden Triangle without taking a full week off work.

Winter was the perfect time for this. Comfortable weather for the Amber Fort climb and no oppressive heat at the forts. The guide was patient with our questions and pointed out details at the Taj I would never have noticed. Vegetarian food recommendations in Jaipur were spot on. Booking with flights and hotels bundled saved us so much planning stress.

Genuinely memorable, and the sunrise Taj visit lives up to every photo you've seen. Be prepared for the touts around the monuments though, they can be persistent, so stay close to your guide. The drives are long, but the car was comfortable and the Jaipur hotel more than made up for it. Solid value with everything included.

An efficient, comfortable and beautiful three days. We flew up from Bangalore, saw the Taj glow at sunrise, wandered Agra Fort, then spent a full day exploring Jaipur's palaces. The golf cart, bottled water and shoe covers were small touches that showed the tour was thought through. Our guide's storytelling brought the Mughal and Rajput history to life. Highly recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

The $950 per-person option covers round-trip flights between Bangalore and Delhi, all private transfers (Delhi airport to Agra to Jaipur and back to Delhi), a 2-night luxury hotel stay in Agra and Jaipur with breakfast, a Government-approved local guide, entry logistics, bottled water, shoe covers for the Taj Mahal, and a golf cart ride up to the monument. It is a genuinely all-inclusive package, so there are no hidden transfer or accommodation costs to worry about.
You fly out of Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) in Bangalore and land at Delhi, from where your private car takes over for the drive to Agra. The return flight brings you back to Bangalore at the end of day three. Flight timings are shared once your booking is confirmed so you can plan your arrival at BLR accordingly.
Sunrise is the most magical time to see the Taj Mahal — the white marble glows soft pink and gold, the light is perfect for photos, and the crowds are at their thinnest before the day-tripper rush arrives. Expect an early start on day two, but almost every traveler agrees the first sight of the Taj in that light is worth setting the alarm for. Prefer a faster option? See our Same Day Taj Mahal Tour From Bengaluru With Flight.
No — this is an Entry Ticket package, so admission is arranged as part of your tour by your guide. That covers the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Mehtab Bagh, and Jaipur's Amber Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. You won't need to queue at ticket windows or handle payments yourself at each monument.
There's a fair amount of walking on uneven historic stone, especially at Agra Fort and the hilltop Amber Fort in Jaipur, which involves a climb or a ramped ascent. The Taj Mahal itself is relatively flat once you're inside the complex, and a golf cart carries you from the gate to the monument. Comfortable, closed walking shoes are strongly recommended for the fort visits.
Yes, with the private-car format it adapts well to families and older guests since you set the pace at each stop. Be mindful that the sunrise start, the two internal flights and the climbs at Agra Fort and Amber Fort can tire young children and less mobile travelers. The golf cart at the Taj and the AC car between sites help a lot. If a fully overnight, slower-paced Agra option suits your group better, consider the Taj Mahal Overnight Stay Tour from Bengaluru.
October to March is ideal — the North Indian weather is cool and comfortable for sightseeing in Agra and Jaipur. April to June brings intense heat, often above 40°C, which makes the fort climbs and the wait at the Taj demanding. July to September sees monsoon showers but lush surroundings and fewer crowds. Whenever you go, the sunrise Taj visit stays the highlight.
Dress modestly and comfortably — lightweight breathable clothing in the warmer months and a light jacket for cool winter mornings, especially for the sunrise Taj visit. Bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen for the open forts, plus your closed walking shoes. Shoe covers for the Taj Mahal are provided, so you can keep your shoes on inside the marble platform.
Sightseeing is conducted with private transfers and a private car, so your ground experience is personal to your group rather than a large coach tour. The flights between Bangalore and Delhi are, of course, scheduled commercial flights shared with other passengers. This blend gives you the efficiency of flying with the comfort of private guiding on the ground.
Absolutely — photography is welcome across most of the itinerary, and sunrise at the Taj Mahal and the mirrored halls of Amber Fort are among the most photogenic spots in India. Note that photography is restricted or prohibited inside the main Taj mausoleum chamber itself, and some monuments charge a small extra fee for professional camera equipment. Your guide will point out the best vantage points, including Mehtab Bagh across the river for that classic Taj view.
After landing in Delhi, the drive to Agra takes roughly 3.5 to 4 hours on the expressway. Agra to Jaipur is around 4 to 5 hours, and Jaipur back to Delhi airport is a similar length. All legs are in a comfortable AC car, and your driver builds in stops. If a shorter, Agra-focused trip appeals more, look at our 2-Day Taj Mahal & Agra City Tour from Bangalore.
The package includes a 2-night luxury hotel stay — one night in Agra and one in Jaipur — described as 5-star standard, with breakfast included each morning. This lets you refresh between the long sightseeing days. Specific hotel names for your dates are confirmed at the time of booking.
Breakfast is included at both hotels, but lunches and dinners are not part of the package, giving you the freedom to sample Agra's Mughlai cuisine and Jaipur's famous Rajasthani thalis at your own choice of restaurants. Vegetarian and Jain food is widely and easily available across Agra and Jaipur, and your guide can recommend trustworthy spots. Do let us know of any dietary needs in advance.
Yes — travelers consistently find this a safe, well-managed way to see the Golden Triangle, with a Government-approved guide and private driver handling logistics throughout. Around popular sites like the Taj and Amber Fort you may encounter persistent vendors and self-appointed "guides"; simply stay with your official guide, who will steer you past them. For a lighter single-monument experience, see the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Tour from Bangalore by Flight.
Simply reserve online and you'll receive a confirmation with your flight timings, hotel details and pickup arrangements. Because the package includes round-trip flights and pre-booked luxury hotels, we recommend booking well ahead, particularly for peak-season winter dates. Cancellation terms depend on airline and hotel conditions, so please review the policy shown at checkout or contact us before confirming if you have any questions.
Yes, the Taj Mahal is closed every Friday for religious reasons. Please ensure your tour date for the Taj Mahal does not fall on a Friday.
Yes, foreign tourists must show their original passport or a high-quality digital photo at the entrance gates for security identification and monument entry.
Sunrise is the best time to visit the Taj Mahal. The gates open at 6:00 AM and the soft morning light creates the most stunning views. Arrive by 5:30 AM to beat the crowds and get the best photography conditions.
Amber Fort is located 11 km from Jaipur city center, about a 20-minute drive. When you book a guided tour through AsiaByLocals, round-trip transportation from your hotel is included. You can also take an elephant or jeep ride up to the fort entrance.
Modest clothing that covers shoulders and knees is recommended for temple visits. Comfortable walking shoes are essential as forts like Amber Fort and Nahargarh Fort involve significant walking on stone pathways. Carry sunscreen and water, especially during summer months.
Yes, all three can be covered in a full-day guided tour. Our Jaipur city tours are designed to cover these major attractions efficiently with an experienced local guide who knows the best routes and timing to avoid crowds.
