Full description
This is a 3-hour experience in Kyoto. It is run by omoroi life, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Kyoto was Japan's capital for over a thousand years until 1868 and has 17 UNESCO-listed sites among some 2,000 temples and shrines. The big three are Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, covered in gold leaf and best in morning light; Kiyomizu-dera, the wooden stage on the eastern hills with the Higashiyama lanes of Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka below it; and Fushimi Inari's gates. Nijo Castle has the nightingale floors that squeak against intruders, and Ryoan-ji the rock garden. Temples open around 8:00 or 9:00 and close at 17:00, and the city bus is slow; a day with a driver or a guide who orders the stops against the crowds is the difference between four sights and seven.
The price covers Pickleball balls and Locker room and showers. It does not cover Please bring your own paddle and Please bring indoor sports shoes, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Thanks to the friendly players at the Minato gym for having us
We had an absolutely fantastic time playing Pickleball with the local group. They were so gracious and welcoming from the moment we arrived, making it easy for myself, my husband, and our 12‑year‑old son to jump right in. As tennis players new to pickleball, we weren’t sure what to expect, but the locals were patient, encouraging, and genuinely excited to share the game with us. The atmosphere was fun, friendly, and full of laughter — a real highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a great workout, a good laugh, and a chance to meet wonderful people in the
So much fun. Love playing a number of games with locals and other travelers. Three hours of non stop play! Would do it again if I came back, which I will.
Amazing friendly people. Highly recommend for anyone regardless of skill level or language.
This was one of the highlights of my time in Osaka! I was not sure what to expect going into it, but it really was just like regular open play with locals. I believe my husband and I were the only two tourists there that night. Everybody was so incredibly nice and we had an amazing time!
Made some incredible memories playing pickleball with a tight-knit group of strangers(now friends!) Everyone was incredibly welcoming and supportive, and really helped bring me closer to the Osaka community, beyond the sport. Would recommend this experience to everyone.
It was a bit challenging to find the location initially and parking the car to get to the facility for me. The venue was great and the host was also very helpful and there were plenty of people to play games with. The people were very friendly and welcoming even though I only spoke limited Japanese. Would recommend this highly for any travelers looking for open play doubles! Met locals, tourists from Taiwan and USA and some expatriates who from Philippines, Germany etc.
I had an incredible time playing with the locals—they were so welcoming. The environment was fun, relaxed, and had zero pressure. Honestly, it was one of the highlights of my trip.
Pickleball was fun playing with the locals. What i didn’t know was which skill level I was going to join. But overall it was fun. The system is a little bit different than what I am used to. The paper, scissor, and rock system seems odd but it works for them. Everyone was very nice.
We had so much fun playing pickleball with the Osaka locals in Japan. We were visiting from Hawaii and I wish I could have planned more play time. Everyone was super friendly and they keep score in English!
Playing pickleball in Osaka was a really fun experience. The session was led by Shuu-san, but it was more like open play for the locals. They were all welcoming but it helped that I was able to understand and speak a little bit of Japanese. I would do this again when I’m back in Osaka.
it was amazing! I got lucky and it was pretty.m7ch open court the whole night! I'm exhausted now, but that's a good thing haha.
