Full description

This is a 10-hour experience in Nara, built around Nara Park, Fushimi Inari Taisha and Kiyomizu-dera. It is run by Leda Japan, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of Inari, the deity of rice and business, and its thousand-plus vermilion torii gates, each donated by a company or family, run in tunnels up the 233-metre Mount Inari behind the main hall. The full loop to the summit is about four kilometres and two hours; most visitors turn back at the Yotsutsuji viewpoint halfway. It is open 24 hours and free, which makes it the one big Kyoto sight you can do at dawn or after dark, when the gates are empty and lit. By nine in the morning the lower tunnels are a slow queue. The fox statues carry keys to the rice granary in their mouths.

Wonderful day tour with an excellent, very experienced and knowledgeable driver Mr. Zheng. We visited a Shinto shrine and a Buddhist temple which was interesting so see the difference between both religions. Nara has a beautiful park around the temple where the small deer roam freely. Taka provided us with crackers to feed the little bowing deer. A nice day overalll. I fully recommend this tour.

The tour was great! The driver was also our guide, just as described in the product details. He was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip. We had plenty of free time to explore each attraction on our own, which we really enjoyed. No need for a separate guide at all. Highly recommended!

de dagtrip was heel erg leuk. we werden netjes bij ons hotel opgehaald, de communicatie is de hele dag erg goed geweest. de buschauffeur rijdt naar de locaties en geeft een paar tips over wat je kan doen en eten. vervolgens mag je zelf op pad, zolang je maar op tijd terug bij de bus bent. de hele dag was een geweldig succes!
