Full description
Ao Nang's nightlife is spread across beachfront bars, backstreet reggae joints and one or two proper clubs, and figuring out which are worth your evening takes more nights than most travellers have. Our hosts do that sorting for you and turn the whole route into one long, loud, extremely social evening.
You start with a group meet-up, a T-shirt and the first drink, then move between venues as a crowd. Each stop comes with a welcome shot and a game designed to break up the cliques fast, so solo travellers stop being solo somewhere around the second bar. Hosts know the bartenders, which means faster service and the occasional round the group did not pay for.
The night lands at one of Ao Nang's best clubs with entry included and no queueing. Whether you leave at midnight or hang on until the lights come up is entirely your call. Bring your ID, bring some cash for the drinks you buy yourself, and expect to make friends.

Detailed Itinerary
The group gathers at around 20:00 at a bar in central Ao Nang, where the host checks names, hands out crawl T-shirts and gets the first drink into everyone's hand. The opening forty-five minutes are deliberately relaxed so the group actually talks before the volume goes up.
From about 20:45 the crawl proper begins with a beachfront venue and its included shot, followed at 21:45 by two of the busier backstreet bars where the drinking games get properly competitive. Hosts keep the group moving and make sure nobody is left behind in a bathroom queue.
At roughly 23:15 the night finishes at one of Ao Nang's main clubs with entry already covered. There is no fixed end time; the official programme wraps around 01:00 and plenty of people stay well past it.

Traveler Reviews
A good way to meet people if you are travelling solo. Our host knew every bartender on the Ao Nang strip and the group of about twenty stayed together the whole way. The T-shirt gets you drink discounts at the venues afterwards, which was an unexpected bonus.
Five bars over five hours with a welcome shot at each, and the host paced it sensibly rather than pushing anyone. The drinking games between stops broke the ice quickly. Skipping the queue at the final club was worth it on a busy Saturday.
Fun night and good value for the price. The third bar was quite empty when we arrived so the atmosphere dipped for half an hour before it filled up. The host was excellent at keeping everyone together and checking in on people.
I do not drink much and never felt pressured, the host happily swapped my shots for soft drinks. It was more about the group and the walk through Ao Nang than the alcohol. Everyone was looked after and we knew exactly where the meeting point was.
Solid crawl with a friendly crowd, mostly people in their twenties. Be aware you walk a fair distance between the second and third venues, so no flip flops you cannot manage. Club entry at the end was included and quick.
Booked this on our first night and ended up with people we hung out with for the rest of the week. Meeting point was easy to find and the host started on time. Sensible, well organised and not at all the mess I was expecting.
