Full description
This is a 3-hour experience in Krabi. It is run by One Asia Corporation, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.
The price covers Hotel pickup and drop-off, Elephant sanctuary activity, Light Thai lunch, Visit to Tiger Cave Temple and local guide. It does not cover Entry fee to Tiger Cave: 50 Baht, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Elephants were beautiful and gentle! guides were friendly and good provided was yummy! Would recommend
The elephants seem to be treated very well and can walk around freely. They have ropes to keep them in but they are mostly to keep tourists from approaching as the elephants can easily remove the ropes themselves. The Tiger Cave climb is not for the weak but worth it when you get to the top!
Unbelievable time with the elephants. Tiger cave was equally beautiful although the climb was tricky (rewarding views)
The sanctuary was nice I wish we were educated more about the elephants and their lives. Tiger cave and temple hike is no joke make sure you are prepared for a workout ☺️☺️
Really good, feed elephants were an amazing experience, the steps are a challenge but it was well worth doing as the views above are exceptional
It was great, our guide was friendly and helpful, and the elephants amazing. Never did I think I could stand so close to them and feed them. I wish we had more time to do it again:
Loved seeing the elephants for the first time in my life. Getting to feed them and walk with them through the jungle was a highlight. I loved the temple cave too but they do not warn you enough how STEEP them stairs are.! Haha! You are sweating buckets worth and gasping for breath. But if you make it to the top it’s definitely worth it. The whole experience was very humbling and unforgettable.
The tour was nice, the elephants lock well and the temple was a very good challenge.
Great staff friendly and very polite, the adventure was really intense with the stairs but worthy, I fully recommend to try at least once in your life.
Great day out. Super impressed with the elephant sanctuary. They really love their elephants and temple was beautiful. Just pace yourself up the steps. :)
The elephant sanctuary was amazing, and we loved the experience as a family with a 5 and 7 year old. The Tiger Temple was more of a visit than a tour, we attempted the steps but you do need to be very fit to do this and our kids who run around endlessly found this a challenge so we didn’t make it to the top. The Temple was spectacular to see.
