This is a 4-hour experience in Krabi. It is run by Anda Krabi Seatour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.
Pickup is offered from 4203, Nong Thale and 102 Panurat; the exact spot and time are agreed with Anda Krabi Seatour once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.
The price covers Round trip hotel transfers, Fruit, Drinking water, Tour guide and Insurance. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience, although the hike is a little intense. Sunset was incredible. Also surprised as I thought the tour guide was walking up to the temple with us. Nice welcome back to the transportation with cold drinks and fruit.
Our guide, Peter, was awesome, very knowledgeable, passionate, and funny. He guided us through the whole climb up and protected us from the monkeys!! Peter’s English was great, and he also surprised us with watermelon and coke when we got back.
The tour was awesome and the views just incredible! Best part was our lovely guide Peter— kind, smart and passionate. We highly recommend it!
The pick up was prompt and our guide Zindy was very proactive. She explained the tour and provided us with water, raincoats and flashlights before starting the climb. She also kept motivating us to continue the climb and once we reachdd the top she helped us take absolutely aesthetic pictures. While heading back to the hotel she also provided us watermelon and coca cola. The climb is worth it, do not give up.
We can highly recommend this tour. It was truely a wonderful experience looking out from the top of the temple at sunset and our guide was very nice and insightful!
Our tour to the Temple was great! We were picked up on time and Palm our guide was very friendly, informative and fun. She warned us of how to approach the monkeys who are quite wild there and she was very patient with us taking our time up the 1000+ stairs to the top. The sunset was spectacular and the gold Buddha amazing! The view across the land and sea was spectacular also and hardly anyone was there. Palm took excellent photos of us on the top. We left in good time so as to still have light then enjoyed fruit on the drive home. We were offered a trip to the night market also but we decide

We absolutely loved the tour & are so happy that we booked it. Our guide was super nice and knew everything about the temple. He looked out for me on the way to the top, while I was struggling and protected us from the monkeys on our way back down. I would have felt a lot less safe without him & can definitely recommend booking a guide for this adventure. The view from the top is just breathtaking & we were even praying together. A super special experience!
