Full description

This is a 9-hour experience from Bangkok, built around Bus/coach, Bang Pa-In Royal Palace and Central Ayutthaya. It is run by One Asia Corporation, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.

we chose the private tour with a guide. very good value for money for our family of 4! we were able to adapt the tour to what worked best for us and being able to drive between sites in an air conditioned van was a blessing. the ancient city and the palace are beautiful to visit - definitely a must see!! our guide was lovely and spent the entire day making sure we were taken care of and providolots of information. our driver was really good too!

This tour is a great way to see some beautiful historic sites in Ayutthaya! Pick up / drop off was easy and well organised, near a metro station and a big mall. The bus was comfortable and air conditioned. And our guide Tony was so friendly and kind! She really looked after us and even helped us with taking photographs. Thank you for an amazing day!
