This is a 7-hour experience from Bangkok, built around Wat Chaiwatthanaram, Wat Lokaya Sutha and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet. It is run by Bigcountry Experience Co.,Ltd., an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.

It was such a beautifull trip. So humbled to have seen the Ayutthaya temples. Made me feel small and part off a bigger picture. There lies 1000 years of history. The airconditioned bus was amazing. So was the lunchbuffet and our guide.

Boeing and Mr O were excellent company for the day and the group I went with were a diverse mix of people. Boeing was a very knowledgeable guide and it felt like just the right pace.

I really enjoyed the tour and our guide, Paul. The lunch was delicious with plenty of options, the minibus was nicely air-conditioned, and the guide was always making sure we would easily find the bus and toilets.

The tour was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history of Thailand's former capital. Our guide, Paul, is incredibly knowledgeable. He really knows how to get people interested in the history of the sites and is a great person—always smiling and witty. The trip took about 7 hours, so we still had the second half of the day left to explore central Bangkok. Highly recommended!

Comfortable way to get to Ayutthaya. Boeing was a great guide and the ruins are beautiful. But personally I don’t think the lunch stop is worth it. I’d rather have gone back earlier to Bangkok.

Really enjoyed yesterday's tour to Ayutthaya! Our guide (the man from the photo) was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of curios facts about Buddhist culture. I tried on a traditional Thai dress and it was so worth it! The guide took a lot of pictures of me and they are all very lovely! The tour also included lunch, and there was live music in the canteen. Great value for money!
