Detailed Itinerary

Check-in & Welcome Drink | 19:30 to 20:00

Arrive at ICONSIAM Pier at least 30 minutes before departure. The pier is right next to ICONSIAM shopping mall — easily accessible by BTS Skytrain (Gold Line to Charoen Nakhon station) or taxi.

At the boarding area, staff will check your booking and hand you a welcome drink. Board the cruise and find your assigned table. You can choose between the air-conditioned 2nd floor dining room or the open-air upper deck — both offer great views.

Departure & Buffet Dinner | 20:00 to 21:00

The ship departs at 8:00 PM sharp and heads upriver along the Chao Phraya. The buffet opens immediately — expect a spread of Thai and international dishes including fresh seafood, grilled meats, pad thai, green and red curries, sushi, cold salads, fresh fruit, and a full dessert station.

As you eat, the illuminated Grand Palace complex, Wat Pho, and the old riverside warehouses-turned-restaurants pass by your window. The lighting on these buildings at night is genuinely impressive.

Live Entertainment & Wat Arun | 21:00 to 21:40

After dinner, the stage lights up with traditional Thai dance performances — dancers in full golden costume perform classical routines to live music. Between acts, the cruise reaches Wat Arun on the west bank. The temple's porcelain-encrusted spire lit up at night is one of the best views in Bangkok.

Head to the upper deck for photos — this is the money shot. The crew is happy to help take your picture.

Return to ICONSIAM Pier | 21:40 to 22:00

The cruise turns south and passes under the Rama VIII Bridge (beautifully lit with cables glowing against the sky) before docking back at ICONSIAM Pier around 10:00 PM. From here you can grab a taxi, take the BTS, or explore the ICONSIAM night market.

Great cruise with music, food and drinks. Best activity and a must do while in Bangkok. The buffet was way better than expected — fresh seafood, proper Thai curries, and the dessert table was insane. Watching Wat Arun lit up from the river was the highlight of our whole trip.

I loved the atmosphere, the crew, the scene was an amazing cruise. They sang happy birthday for my friend which was a lovely surprise. The Thai dancers were stunning and the food kept coming all night. Would absolutely do this again.

Just amazing! Very well organised. Nothing went amiss. Best night of Bangkok and a great way to end our trip to Thailand. The views passing the Grand Palace at night are unreal. Highly recommend getting a table on the upper deck if weather is good.

Loved the entertainment and food. Staff could not have been more helpful. Very well organised. The traditional Thai dancing was a real highlight — the costumes are incredible up close. Passing Wat Arun at night from the river is something else entirely. Highly recommended.

Beautiful cruise, the river at night is magical. Food was good — lots of variety in the buffet. One star off because the indoor area was quite cold with AC, bring a jacket! The views from the open deck make up for it though. Wat Arun glowing against the dark sky was breathtaking.

We booked this for our anniversary and it was perfect. The crew arranged a nice table by the window without us even asking. Buffet had something for everyone — my wife is vegetarian and she had plenty of options. The live music set the mood perfectly. Bangkok from the river at night is special.

Very nice experience overall. The ship is large and well maintained. Food quality is above average for a cruise buffet. The entertainment program runs smoothly. Only suggestion: arrive early to get upper deck seating, it fills up fast and the views are much better than inside.

This was the surprise hit of our Bangkok trip. We almost didnt book it thinking it might be too touristy but its actually a really lovely evening out. Good food, beautiful views, the Thai dance performance was genuinely impressive. Easy to get to from BTS. Very good value.

Solid dinner cruise experience. Highlights were definitely passing the Grand Palace and Wat Arun lit up — bring a good camera! Buffet was tasty with lots of fresh options. The welcome drink was a nice touch. Only downside: drinks are pricey onboard, so grab a cocktail before if you want to save.

Frequently Asked Questions

The cruise departs at 8:00 PM sharp from ICONSIAM Pier and returns at approximately 10:00 PM. Check-in opens at 7:30 PM — arrive at least 30 minutes early to board, receive your welcome drink, and find your table before the ship leaves the dock. Late arrivals cannot board once the ship has departed, so plan your transportation accordingly. The pier is directly accessible via the BTS Gold Line (Charoen Nakhon station) or by taxi.
The cruise features a premium international and Thai buffet with a wide spread: fresh seafood (prawns, squid, fish), grilled meats, sushi and sashimi, Thai curries (green, red, massaman), pad thai, fried rice, cold salads, fresh tropical fruit, and a full dessert station with cakes, pastries, and ice cream. The buffet is continuously replenished throughout the cruise. Vegetarian options are available. If you have specific dietary requirements or allergies, notify us at booking and the kitchen will accommodate.
The ticket includes a welcome drink on arrival and soft drinks, water, tea, and coffee throughout the cruise. Alcoholic beverages are not included but are available for purchase onboard at the bar — expect beer, wine, cocktails, and spirits. Prices are reasonable by Bangkok standards. You cannot bring your own alcohol onboard. If you want unlimited drinks, check whether a drinks package add-on is available at the time of booking.
Smart casual is recommended. Most guests dress up slightly for the evening — collared shirts, nice dresses, closed-toe shoes. You won't be turned away in casual clothes, but flip-flops, tank tops, and beachwear will feel out of place on a luxury cruise. If you're coming from a day of sightseeing, a quick change at your hotel before heading to the pier is worth it. The atmosphere is elegant but relaxed — think nice dinner out, not black tie.
Yes. The cruise offers air-conditioned indoor seating on the 2nd floor with panoramic windows and open-air seating on the upper deck. Indoor is more comfortable (especially during rainy season June–October), while the upper deck gives unobstructed views and better photo opportunities as you pass Wat Arun and the Grand Palace. Both areas have full access to the buffet and entertainment. Seating preference can be indicated at booking but is subject to availability.
The cruise route passes Bangkok's most iconic riverside landmarks, all illuminated at night: the Grand Palace complex, Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha), Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) with its porcelain-covered spire glowing against the sky, the Rama VIII Bridge with its dramatic cable lighting, historic riverside warehouses, and the skyline of modern Bangkok. The stretch past Wat Arun is the highlight — the temple lit up from the river at night is one of the most photographed views in Bangkok.
Yes, the cruise is family-friendly and children of all ages are welcome. The buffet has options that kids enjoy (fried rice, chicken, desserts, ice cream), and the live entertainment with traditional Thai dancers in colorful costumes tends to hold children's attention. The ship is stable and spacious with railings on all decks. Children under a certain age may qualify for discounted or free tickets — check pricing options at booking. The cruise is also popular for birthday celebrations and anniversaries — notify us in advance for special arrangements.
The cruise operates rain or shine — it runs every night regardless of weather. The main dining area on the 2nd floor is fully enclosed and air-conditioned, so rain has zero impact on dinner or entertainment. The upper deck has partial cover but can get wet during heavy rain. During rainy season (June–October), a light jacket or wrap is useful for the air-conditioned interior. Bangkok rain showers are typically short and dramatic — many guests find a passing storm actually enhances the atmosphere on the river.
ICONSIAM Pier is on Charoen Nakhon Road, next to the ICONSIAM shopping mall. The easiest options: BTS Skytrain — take the Gold Line to Charoen Nakhon station, then a short walk to the pier. Taxi or Grab — tell the driver 'ICONSIAM pier' (every driver knows it). Free shuttle boat — ICONSIAM operates free boats from Sathorn Pier (next to BTS Saphan Taksin). Allow 30–45 minutes from central Bangkok. Arrive by 7:30 PM for check-in.
Absolutely — the dinner cruise is one of the most popular choices in Bangkok for birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons, and proposals. The combination of luxury dining, river views, and live entertainment creates a genuinely memorable evening. Let us know your occasion at booking and the crew can arrange special touches — a dedicated table, cake, or announcement during the entertainment. Group bookings for celebrations are welcome. For very large parties, private deck sections may be available.
