Full description
This is a 3.5-hour experience in Bangkok, built around Ferry, Wat Arun and Tuk tuk. It is run by CanalTour x ExploreSiam, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japanese food tours work because the best places are small, unmarked and full of regulars, and a guide who orders for you opens them. An izakaya crawl covers yakitori, sashimi, karaage and the local pours of sake, shochu and highballs across three or four counters in an evening; a ramen walk explains the broths, tonkotsu, shoyu, miso and shio, and the regional styles. Most places seat eight to twelve and tours run six to eight guests for that reason. Vegetarians should say so when booking, because dashi stock is fish and hidden in almost everything; halal-certified options exist but are fewer.
The price covers Chao Phraya Express Boat / ferry / tuk-tuk, Bottled water, Dessert, guide and Street-food meal. It does not cover Alcoholic beverages and Gratuities for the tour guide, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
CanalTour x ExploreSiam sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with CanalTour x ExploreSiam before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Traveler Reviews
Bella our guide was really engaging, fun, and provided lots of information. Answered all of our questions. Gave some options of what we were interested in, but assigning us a insight into Thai culture and history. Our favorite tour in Bangkok.
loved our guide bella! my family was a family of 5. only 1 was under 40 and the rest were in their 70s. bella tailored our tour to help when they were too tired to walk, sometimes getting in out of the tuk tuk was difficult so towards the end it was mostly photo ops in the tuk tuk 😂 the food at the end was actually really well done and everyone was happy with the meal and dessert choices! great mix of transportation so you can experience it all
This was a great trip very informative. Nice mix of transport the ferry then Tuk Tuk and on foot. The food was great in china town. The only issue we had was weather but we still managed to do most of it. And in some ways it meant we saw things a little different so all good. Would recommend this
Love the tour. Highly recommend. Did this with two teenagers and they were happy.
The flower market and learning how to fold the lotus flower.
our guide Paula was awesome. Her knowledge about every stop we did was interesting. She entertained us with her jokes and told us a bit about her life here and in France. How a single mom of 1 runs around like she does desrves credit. She refused to let anyone leave her before our pick ups to our hotels. Thanks Paula for a evening we wont forget. Thank you from Shilo and Craig, U.K
Great & fun tour, knowledgeable tour guide. Highly recommended!
Paula was just great, very knowledgable and friendly. She was super organised and made it a great trip.
Paula is awesome. Knowledgeable and funny. We had a great time with her.
We had the best guide ever. She made our experience unforgettable with her enthusiasm and charisma! The bus was so comfortable and we ate good food recommended by our guide.
Racing around in the Tuk tuks and the flower market visit
Paula was a great guide! I absolutely loved how informative she was about everything we saw. She has such a kind personality and when we come again with our extended family we will be booking with her :)
