This is a 3.5-hour experience in Bangkok. It is run by Sabieng Cooking, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japanese cooking classes usually build a meal around dashi, the kombu and bonito stock that sits under miso soup, simmered dishes and noodle broths, and then one or two headline dishes: rolled sushi or nigiri, gyoza, tempura, okonomiyaki, or a bento box. Wagashi classes make the seasonal sweets served with tea from sweet bean paste. Most classes run two to three hours in a home kitchen or a small studio, and vegetarian versions replace the bonito with a kombu-shiitake dashi. You eat what you make, and Japanese teachers are precise about technique.

What a fabulous experience! A walk around the market followed by a tuk tuk ride to the cooking school. What a treat to create a 4 course lunch and then eat together as a group of 6.
Alex was our teacher and guide. He was amazing. We had a lovely time and would recommend this experience!!!
Amazing experience. I had Pim as the instructor and she clearly really loves what she does. The food was incredibly delicious and the cooking was very informative and educational. You can tell she has skills and is very knowledgeable about her craft. This experience is all of the fun stuff about cooking! They help you prep, get the ingredients, help with plating, and they handle all of the cleaning. Super chill overall. You get the following: 1. Great 4-course meal 2. Improvement to knife/wok skills 3. Education on Thai vegetables/produce 4. All the fun parts of cooking and some laughs Definit
We had so much fun! The food was amazingly delicious! The tour of the market was a great bonus. Was truly some of the best food we had on our trip to Thailand and we made it ourselves!
This is a MUST do when visiting Bangkok! Pim was so sweet and patient, while also making the class so fun! The food was absolutely delicious and the experience was so memorable for us. Would definitely highly recommend!!
Absolutely amazing class!! Alex was a great teacher and had the patience to deal with my grandma and her sisters. The class is made very well for beginners and honestly this was some of the best food I had during my whole trip. 10/10 would recommend.
Brilliant experience - Alex was amazing, so knowledgable and helpful. Was great to be shown through the market and learn more about local produce too. One of our highlights from Bangkok. Thank you!
This cooking class was one of our absolute favorite activities in Bangkok! My boyfriend and I had such a great time, we learned how to cook four delicious Thai dishes and loved every single one. Pim, our instructor, was fantastic. She was funny, warm, and incredibly passionate. You could really feel how much she loved sharing her culture and recipes with us. The local market visit was a great way to discover Thai ingredients, and the tuk-tuk ride added even more charm to the experience. At the end, we were so proud of what we cooked and even happier to eat it all! Just make sure to come with a
It was so much fun! Our guide/teacher was so knowledgeable and kind. I had a blast making different foods and learning so much. Will definitely be trying these in the UK
I had a great experience and found the course both enjoyable and very educational. The session at the Grand Market was especially fun and made everything even more interesting. The teacher was incredibly kind, friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this experience!
