Flower Market Tour and Garland Workshop in Bangkok

We had such a lovely time at the White Lotus Flower Garland workshop with Poon. We started with a cup of butterfly pea tea before heading off for a walk through the flower market. Poon showed us all the different flowers and spices and explained what they were used for. We loved wandering around the market with her and learning about everything we were seeing — it made the whole experience feel really authentic and personal. It was such a lovely experience, peaceful, constructive, educational. A moment in time. Our teacher speaks excellent English and wraps the whole experience in beauty, letting us inside the culture and traditions as she guides us through the process of making our own garland. So...should I offer it at the temple...after all one would want more of such experiences.

I recently joined a flower garland workshop at White Lotus, Bangkok, Thailand and it completely exceeded my expectations. As a beginner, I was a bit worried it would be too difficult, but the instructors, Ploy and Poon, were incredibly patient and guided us step-by-step. Such a therapeutic and amazing experience! Seeing the world-renowned market and learning some traditional techniques was exceptional. Poon was a lovely and thoughtful guide, and I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop.

I had a wonderful time! The traditional Thai dress with accessories is so beautiful, and was so fun to have put on and to wear. I was then guided by Ploy along a short and sweet walk through the flower market which was really interesting and then back at the air conditioned studio I had the pleasure of putting together my own flower garland. The instruction was easy to understand and the process and result both really satisfying :) everyone was so nice, Ploy took some photos for me and there was even a snack served during the making process. I highly recommend this experience!

Très bonne expérience 😊 J'étais contente de trouver cet atelier car la Thaïlande est réputée pour ce type de créations mais je n'ai pas vu de cours pour apprendre mis à part celui-ci ! Atelier bien rythmé et varié, avec la visite du marché, une boisson d'accueil, les explications et la confection de la guirlande, avec des informations sur l'histoire, la symbolique, les usages... des fleurs et des créations florales, et le dessert 😋 Les encadrantes sont très sympathiques et douées 😊 J'ai aimé au point d'acheter des aiguilles et du fil au marché en partant, pour refaire des guirlandes chez moi 🥰

One of my favorite experiences in Bangkok 🌸 I joined the Thai flower garland workshop and loved every moment of it. We first explored the flower market and learned about Thai flowers and local culture before making our own jasmine garland by hand. The class atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing, especially with the scent of fresh jasmine everywhere. The instructor was very friendly and explained everything step by step, so even beginners could enjoy it. I also loved the Thai snacks and welcome drink after the market tour Such a unique cultural activity and a beautiful souvenir to bring home.

The smell of jasmine flowers was so nice. make the whole classroom so relaxing and calming. The flower market tour was incredible. Our instructor, Poon she was so nice and lovely. She told us everything we should know and made sure everyone enjoyed the class. Would definitely recommend to friends and everyone. You should join if you are flower lovers!!!!

It was truly a fabulous experience attending the garland workshop today. The teacher was incredibly kind and patient, and I learned so much about how to make garlands and select the right flowers beautifully. They also served complimentary mango sticky rice, which made the experience even more special. 🌸🥭✨
