Full description
This is a 5.5-hour experience in Bangkok, built around Amulet Market, Grand Palace Bangkok and Ferry. It is run by MONKEY TRAVEL ASIA by Ask Discovery, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.
The price covers Licensed English-speaking guide, Amulet Market Walk, Grand Palace Visit, Wat Phra Kaew Emerald Buddha Visit and Wat Arun Visit. It does not cover Earphones, Beverages, Ticket Grand Palace and Ticket Wat Arun, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Golden Place (Tha Chang Pier Branch). We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with MONKEY TRAVEL ASIA by Ask Discovery before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

we loved our day. Our tour guide Angela was kind and informative. She took time to explain the temples and Thai values and beliefs. We enjoyed our Tuk Tuk ride and seeing the Bangkok city and exploring China Town. Very enjoyable day. Angela cared for us in the heat finding shade and bathroom breaks. we enjoyed our Thai lunch which was tasty. Thank you
Had an amazing day today as it was my last day in bangkok and I only had today to visit popular attractions. Mr. A was lovely! Very knowledgeable and helpful, also very funny! If you want to visit the temples and know about real thai history, I strongly advise you to book this tour.
Very very good! Nam, our guide, was fantastic! She speaks a very good english, is very nice and kind. Absolutely perfect!
We had a wonderful time on this walking tour of Bangkok's beautiful temples. Even though it was a very hot day, our guide Jenny made the experience absolutely perfect. She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and always made sure we were comfortable in the heat. The tour also included a delicious local lunch and a fun, short tuk-tuk ride, which was the perfect way to cool down. I highly recommend this tour, and especially Jenny, to anyone visiting Bangkok!
I had my tour with Jenny. She is an amazing guide, a great photographer and a very pleasant person. She knows a lot of history about the places and made sure the tour was comfortable.
Thank you for an amazing day. Our guide Kiwi was truly one of a kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly entertaining. The stories, laughter, and fascinating insights made the tour so much more enjoyable and memorable. We had such a wonderful time and really appreciated how welcoming and engaging Kiwi was throughout the day. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun, informative, and memorable experience. Ngaa mihi Kiwi

Kiwi was an excellent guide. I would strongly recommend doing this activity with Kiwi and I would definitely do the activity again. I gained a lot of insight into Thai culture and customs and protocols.
Nun&a Guide was the best guide ever! It was a great tour experience!
Our tour was amazing and our guide Nam was so lovely and informative! This is a great tour option for fitting in all of the major temples in Bangkok into one day. Only flaw of the day is that you arrive at 8:30 and don’t have lunch until 2:30ish, with limited time to stop and buy drinks or snacks between. However, I really would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bangkok - just maybe bring some snacks to keep you going!
This was an incredible experience! Our tour guide Mild was super friendly, knowledgeable and really made the tour feel even more special - you could feel her passion and enthusiasm all the way through. We got to visit many temples, the Grand Palace and lunch was also provided. This was truly such an amazing opportunity which I would recommend to everyone and definitely do again as it was really insightful and meaningful. Thank you very much !!
Ottima escursione! Guida comprensibile e ben preparata. Unica pecca è la durata totale dell’escursione, inferiore rispetto a quanto preventivato.
