Full description
This is a 10-hour experience in Bangkok. It is run by Bigcountry Experience Co.,Ltd., an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
A private day with a driver-guide is the way to see the most of a Japanese city or region in one day, because it removes the transfers between sights that eat a third of the day on public transport. Prices are usually per vehicle for up to a set number of guests rather than per person, and cover the car, fuel, tolls and the guide; entrance fees and lunch are paid as you go unless the listing says otherwise. Japanese guides are licensed for the work and typically punctual to the minute. Give the operator your priorities, and expect them to reorder the day around opening hours and crowds; that is what you are paying for.
The price covers Lunch, Entrance fees, guide, Basic train fee on the Death Railway track and Transportation to Kanchanaburi by air-conditioned van. It does not cover Tips and personal expenses and Assigned train seat, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Bigcountry Experience Co.,Ltd. sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Bigcountry Experience Co.,Ltd. before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Very educational trip to visit River Kwai, our guide Boeing is very knowledgeable and willing to share historical stories with us.
Very impressive day trip, great explanations of our guide. Pity we couldn’t be dropped off at our hotel at the end of the tour and were invited to some clothing shop instead. Otherwise it was a memorable day.
It was amazing, full of new experiences and learning the history of the Asian nations during the Second World War.
Jokey gave a fantastic tour! He was so knowledgeable and interesting!! U cannot rate him highlight enough, he was amazing!!
Jokey was really helpful and kind, I would recommend him all day! Me and my friends thank you again for the perfect day!
The trip was great and Jockey was a fantastic guide. Even a little too overprotective and mindful of our group. Overall a fun day.
William and Mr Driver were lovely. William was a very good guide
Henry is a knowledgeable and responsible guide. It's a great experience to go on this trip with him.
Wonderful and well-planned day trip from Bangkok! The driver and guide were professional and polite and the stops were in good sequence. The train ride was especially fun!
It was really nice, positive, informative trip. Tour guide Mindy was really possitive, inteligent and she tells me more information About River Kwai, train and about Thailand and peoples in Thailand. I recomend this trip to everyone. ITS informative, calm and Nice.
William was a wonderful guide with lots of knowledge. Seeing the cemetery, museum and bridge in person was a very emotional experience. To then be able to ride the train in the railway that was built by all the POWs and forced labour and see the cut out cliffs they had to make really brings our history home and makes it more real.
Phillip our guide was great , friendly, helpful, knoweledgeable. the war cemetries and museum were very moving. the train was fun even though its building was by forced labour and death. It was a very good trip for lots of reasons and would recommend it.
