Full description
This is a 4-hour experience in Bangkok, built around Grand Palace Bangkok, Ferry and Secret stop. It is run by Best Local Experiences, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples sit side by side across Japan and the etiquette differs slightly: at a shrine, bow at the torii, rinse hands and mouth at the water basin, then bow twice, clap twice, bow once at the hall; at a temple, no clapping, hands together, and incense if it is offered. Photography is fine outside and usually not inside halls. Zen meditation sessions, zazen, are taught at several Kyoto and Tokyo temples in 30 to 60 minute sittings with the posture explained; a shukubo temple stay adds the morning service and vegetarian shojin ryori. Shoes come off at every hall.

Judy, our guide made sure we saw the temples, Buddhas and Royal Palace explaining the history at a good pace for us considering the extreme heat. We were well looked after she took her time taking many photos of us which she sent on via whasapp so we have a great record of the day. We found the food tastimg at the local market too much though considering only arriving in Bangkok the day before. We would recommend Judy 100%. as a tour guide.

Totally worth the money! This Tour offers you a perfect insight in Thai history and culture. Not only were the tour guides very knowledgeable and well informed, but also and most importantly they were super kind and relatable as they would answer even my most unnecessary questions and give us insider tips for buying food in Bangkok.
