Full description
This is a 4-hour experience from Bangkok, built around Wat Pho, River boat and Wat Arun. It is run by TripGuru Thailand, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
A private day with a driver-guide is the way to see the most of a Japanese city or region in one day, because it removes the transfers between sights that eat a third of the day on public transport. Prices are usually per vehicle for up to a set number of guests rather than per person, and cover the car, fuel, tolls and the guide; entrance fees and lunch are paid as you go unless the listing says otherwise. Japanese guides are licensed for the work and typically punctual to the minute. Give the operator your priorities, and expect them to reorder the day around opening hours and crowds; that is what you are paying for.
Pickup is offered from Pathum Wan, Phra Nakhon, Bang Rak, Lumphini, Bangkok and Sathon; the exact spot and time are agreed with TripGuru Thailand once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.
The price covers Boat ride to Wat Arun, Drinking water, guide, Entrance fees and Carbon emissions offset credits. It does not cover Pickup and drop-off at hotels located on Khaosarn Road, Lunch and Personal expenses, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
TripGuru Thailand sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with TripGuru Thailand before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Mr Jeerawat was a great tour guide! Accommodated our needs and made sure to impart some knowledge about Wat Sekat, Wat Arun, and Wat Pho. Arrived at our hotel early and stuck to the schedule. Would recommend 5/5!
We didn't know what to expect when we booked this tour. First off, our tour guide, Jack, was amazing! We booked the private tour and it was nice to be able to see the sights at our own pace. Jack even suggested that we rent Thai outfits to walk around Wat Arun. While we were taking pictures, he gave us information about the temple. He was a good sport and even lent a hand to our photographer. Jack was personable, knowledgeable and also wanted to learn about our culture when it came to final resting places and religion for our loved ones. He made sure to tie in facts with fun and always asked u
Tar was lovely! It’s really great to visit the temple with her. Thanks!
A brilliant tour! Tar, our guide was fantastic, knowledgeable and so much fun! A small group of 3, (Jackie was great fun too!), made the tour feel really personal! Tar was great at taking pictures and videos, which we will be laughing at for a long time!! Thank you so much Tar! James and Corinne Young xx
We took a tour on the 9th of February and Nancy was our guide. She showed involvement and passion for what she does. She was very nice, funny, always paying attention to our needs and interests. She knows very well the town and the Buddhist culture. Nancy answered all our questions and shared with us facts about Bangkok, Thailand and Buddhist temples/ culture. She took us lots of photos and made the tour a lot interesting. I want to congratulate Nancy for her work and dedication!
It was very good. The tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable, she was also very helpful and friendly.
Highly recommended! Our guide, Nancy, was very energetic and knowledgeable. She was willing to explain the history take pictures and even to motivate us to visit hidden treasures of Bangkok. This guide tour is an excellent idea to spend half day around Bangkok!
it was a really fantastic trip! everything was really good explained to us, and the tour guide was more than friendly! after the tour, actually the booking said, that we leave again at the bts station, but our tour guide brought us, without extra fee, to China town, cause she thought we should see this as well. it was really a fantastic day!!!!
Great tour of the temples with a knowledgable and caring guide. Can’t ask for much more.
We had a small group. Our guide his name was ‘Wat’. Funny that he with this name had to tell us everything about wats (Thai for temple) in general and more specific about the three temples we visited. He did his job full of enthusiasm , telling us a lot about history, Buddhism and much more.
whot was very knowledgeable and a great friendly guide,he stooped when we asked took pictures and answer on all of our questions even when they were off topic. will recommend to a friend
