Full description
This is a 2-hour experience in Bangkok. It is run by Kame Homu Studio, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japanese craft classes are taught by practitioners who have usually done the craft for decades, and they teach it properly: calligraphy begins with how to hold the brush and grind the ink; pottery on the wheel produces a cup that is fired and posted to you weeks later; ikebana teaches the three-line structure of a Sogetsu or Ikenobo arrangement; indigo dyeing and washi papermaking are done in the workshops of the towns that specialise in them. Classes run one to three hours, materials are included, and most welcome children with a parent.
The price covers Sterling Silver 925 material for one Basic Ring up to 2 mm, All tools and equipment, 2-hour guided workshop, Small group setting and Apron provided for use during the workshop. It does not cover Ring width upgrades from 3, Optional hand-stamping lesson and Advanced or custom ring designs beyond the Basic Ring, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Kame Homu Studio sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Kame Homu Studio before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.
