Full description

This is a 90-minute experience in Bangkok, built around Hua Lamphong Railway Station, Wat Traimit and Maen Sri Waterworks. It is run by Thai Bus Food Tour, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Japanese food tours work because the best places are small, unmarked and full of regulars, and a guide who orders for you opens them. An izakaya crawl covers yakitori, sashimi, karaage and the local pours of sake, shochu and highballs across three or four counters in an evening; a ramen walk explains the broths, tonkotsu, shoyu, miso and shio, and the regional styles. Most places seat eight to twelve and tours run six to eight guests for that reason. Vegetarians should say so when booking, because dashi stock is fish and hidden in almost everything; halal-certified options exist but are fewer.

The price covers English/Thai-speaking guide, Full-course meal with beverages, Double-decker sightseeing bus tour, Onboard restroom available and USB charging ports and WiFi available. It does not cover Hotel pick up and drop off, Other personal expenses and Tips and gratuities, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Thai Bus Food Tour. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Thai Bus Food Tour before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

The hosts were very responsive, respectful, and overall a great tour! I recommend ensuring to request a vegetarian menu if you’re not into seafood much as the food is very seafood based! Overall yummy!

The staff were all professional, polite, and friendly, especially Ms.Fon! She introduced all the delicacies in detail and all tour spots and stories about them. The food was very yummy, and we were enjoying it with the sights of beautiful architecture, people, and stories. Strongly recommended to whomever wants to enjoy Bangkok in a yummy and relaxing way!

First things first, the food on this tour was absolutely legendary. I loved everything and had the best curry and Pad Thia I've ever had. The downside to this tour for me was our guide. She would not stop talking, and was very repetitive. For example, the Pad Thai place is Michelin star rated and our guide did not let us forget that fact. I kid you not she said over the speaker at least 20 times that the Pad Thai place was Michelin star rated. Same goes for the King's mother, who pasted away last year. As we were driving around everytime we past a sight that had a picture of the King's mother,

Two to four kilometres at a slow pace with plenty of stops; flat, but hot and humid, so bring water and light shoes. The stalls a guide takes you to are the ones with a queue and a fast turnover, which is the real food-safety test in Thailand. Say 'mai phet' if you want it not spicy.
