Full description
This is a 2-hour experience in Bangkok. It is run by ThaiGlam Studio, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japanese craft classes are taught by practitioners who have usually done the craft for decades, and they teach it properly: calligraphy begins with how to hold the brush and grind the ink; pottery on the wheel produces a cup that is fired and posted to you weeks later; ikebana teaches the three-line structure of a Sogetsu or Ikenobo arrangement; indigo dyeing and washi papermaking are done in the workshops of the towns that specialise in them. Classes run one to three hours, materials are included, and most welcome children with a parent.

It was an amazing experience to dress up in beautiful traditional costumes, and they even did my hair and styling for me. The teacher was very kind and explained Thai culture in a way that was easy to understand. Even though it was my first time trying Thai dance, she taught me step by step from the basics, making it fun and accessible. They also took a lot of photos for me, and we had plenty of time to enjoy the lesson until the very end. I truly had a great time throughout the whole experience. I highly recommend

Our Thai dance lesson with Gift was absolutely amazing! Gift actually teaches Southeast Asian culture at a university, and her deep knowledge made the entire experience so much more than just a dance class. She took the time to teach my friend and me the nuances of how to bow properly in different social situations, and explained the history and meaning behind the dances. I was the only one signed up this particular class so I got a private lesson. The girl was very patient with me and gave gentle corrections. I had seen a play the night before so it was interesting to learn the movements they were doing.
I had so much fun learning Thai dance in this class. The teacher is not only an excellent dancer but also incredibly nice and very knowledgeable in southeast Asian history 😊 I would recommend it for everyone who loves dancing!!

I had a really lovely experience with the very knowledgeable and kind Jenny. We learnt about different regions and their dances and learned choreography for 3 types of dance. I would definitely recommend it to people wanting to learn basics of traditional Thai dance. It was a lot of fun!
