Doing the Taj in a day from Mumbai sounded mad, but it worked beautifully. The early flight to Delhi was smooth and our driver was waiting the moment we landed. The guide in Agra knew every angle for photos and had our Taj and Agra Fort tickets ready so we skipped the queues. Home by night, exhausted but thrilled.

Worth every dollar of the 899. Everything was handled for us from the Mumbai airport onwards, the private car on the Yamuna Expressway was comfortable and cold, and lunch was genuinely good Indian food. Seeing the marble up close after only knowing it from photos was a moment I won't forget. Seamless organisation start to finish.

An incredible experience but be ready for the alarm clock. Our pickup was before dawn and it's a genuine 12-hour day, so I was fading by the return flight. That said, the Taj Mahal at mid-morning was breathtaking and the guide was patient and knowledgeable. Just go in knowing it's a long haul and you'll love it.

Great value for a bucket-list day. The winter timing meant lovely cool weather at the monuments. My only note is that the stop at the Taj felt slightly rushed because of the flight schedule, and the touts near the gate were persistent. Our guide handled them well though, and Agra Fort was a real highlight I hadn't expected.
