A 7-Kilometer Curve Connecting Doha's Two Faces
The Doha Corniche traces roughly 7 kilometers around Doha Bay, running from the Museum of Islamic Art at its southern end up toward the West Bay skyline at its northern reach, and walking any stretch of it gives a genuine sense of the contrast between the city's historic core near Souq Waqif and its ultra-modern glass towers. It's entirely free and open to the public, lined with palm trees, dhow harbors, fountains and a handful of small parks, and it's one of the few places in Doha where you can take in the full sweep of the skyline in a single unobstructed view.
The promenade is well used by joggers and cyclists in the cooler morning and evening hours, and dedicated cycling and walking lanes run much of its length.
