Plenty of Doha tour operators will tell you to book direct to skip platform fees, and every big app will tell you their vetting and support make booking through them safer. Both miss what actually matters: can you get a specific question answered by a real person before you pay?

If nobody confirms those details until after you've paid, it doesn't matter whether you found the booking through an operator's own contact or a polished app — you're booking blind either way.
