This is a 12-hour experience from Phuket, built around Chalong, Other water transport and Phi Phi Islands. It is run by Aum Scuba, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Pickup is offered from Rawai, Karon, Chalong and Pa Tong; the exact spot and time are agreed with Aum Scuba once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

The price covers Hotel pickup and drop-off from: Patong, Karon, Kata, 3 scuba dives, SSI/PADI qualified Instructor, Tank and Breakfast. It does not cover Alcoholic drinks, Underwater photos, SCUBA Diving Equipment and Dive Computer, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Aum was very attentive, knowledgeable, and pointed out all the interesting marine animals, especially nudibranchs, eels, and sharks, etc. The ship Mandarin Queen was spacious and well equipped, and the deck hands were helpful. The meals and snacks were also delicious. The itinerary was well planned, and I would come back again. Highly recommended.

It was an awesome diving day trip. Everything was really well-organized and the dive sites chosen were great. The boat was comfortable and clean, and although I can be prone to seasickness at times, I felt good the whole trip (it‘s a relatively stable large ship with nice free food and drinks). Nigel, my diving guide, was great to talk to and made the trip even more fun. Could not recommend this experience more, especially if Nigel is your dive guide.

Not in rough sea. The Andaman side is calm from November to April and choppy from May to October, when the marine office can close the piers at short notice; if that happens the operator moves you to the next day or refunds in full. Seasickness tablets the night before help on speedboats, and Maya Bay itself closes to visitors in August and September each year.
