Full description

This is a 4-hour experience from Phuket, built around Bus/coach, Khao Lak and Sea Turtle Conservation Center. It is run by Khaolak Planner, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Arashiyama, on Kyoto's western edge, is the bamboo grove, the Togetsukyo bridge over the Katsura river, the gardens of Tenryu-ji and the monkey park on the hill above. The bamboo path is about 500 metres and is photographed empty in every guidebook because those photographs are taken before 7:30; by mid-morning it is a procession. Rickshaw runs, the Sagano scenic railway along the gorge, and boat rides down the Hozu rapids all start here. Autumn colour peaks in the second half of November and cherry blossom around the first week of April.

The price covers hotel pickup and drop-off, drinking water, entrance fees, national park fee and activity fees. It does not cover Gratuities and Photo souvenirs, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Great activity to do in Khao Lak. The rafting was an awesome experience, the waterfall amazing and the turtle conservation was very interesting. Our guide and driver were great and even stopped to help a green pit viper snake off the road safely.

This activity was fantastic! My partner and I wanted to bundle together a day-trip but wanted to avoid water rafting or 4x4’s, so we were thrilled when we saw this activity that perfectly covered our interests to see the forests and interact with the elephants! The sea turtle conservation was beautiful and we learnt a lot and it was great to see the area secured for safety. The elephants were beautiful, and you could see their needs and care actively prioritised by the carers; it’s hard to find ethical sanctuaries like this so we were so happy to have such a unique experience with animals that

Mong the guide was great as was our driver JoJo. We actually had the tour ro ourselves which made it nicer. The elephants were the highlight. can see they are well cared for

Truly a great trip. They added a couple of things as we had some extra time. Also the lunch at beachside was delicious. They also made sure we had lots of liquids besides tropical fruit and some local foods to sample

Really enjoyed trip especially bamboo rafting & spending time with elephants bathing & feeding them memories I will never forget ❤ . Turtles lovely too seeing them cared for hopefully to be released back into sea would of liked guide to of spoken more on the rehabilitation programme . Stop off at beach lunch amazing food & view also loved seeing pigs& piglets running around too . Last stop waterfall beautiful you can swim or just walk around and take in view. If travelling from phuket be prepared for 2 hour + journey to get there but definitely recommend doing it .

Incredibly planned activities: river rafting, elephant bathing and elephant feeding, turtle center visit and many mini fruit snacks and drinks on the go. Plus there was very delicious lunch by the sea shore 🤩

Sadly I can't give a review on the tour itself as we could not go due to illness. But just wanted to say how fantastic and friendly the tour company was. They communicated through WhatsApp with very quick responses. And unfortunately we could not make contact before their driver left to pick us up in Phuket yet they still refunded one persons tour. So 5 Stars for their service and we hope to be able to actually go on the tour one day!

We all had a fabulous time! Amazing experience from start to finish. Bamboo rafting, turtles, elephants, tsunami museum and waterfall swimming - wow!! Something we will remember forever. The guide was brilliant and taxi driver was also super helpful. Really recommend.
