Full description
This is a 1.5-hour experience from Phuket, built around Bukit Elephant Park. It is run by Bukit Elephant Park, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Japan's outdoors is organised: trails are marked, mountain huts are booked, and the walking routes with history, the Nakasendo post road between Magome and Tsumago and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage in Wakayama, are done in comfortable day stages with luggage forwarded. Cycling tours use the flat river paths and back streets that cars avoid. The summer heat from July to September makes early starts essential in the cities and lowlands, while the mountains are cool. Winter turns Hokkaido and Nagano into ski country from December to March, with the powder that Niseko and Hakuba are known for.
The price covers Live tour guide, Basket of bananas for elephants, Preparation and feeding of rice balls, Opportunity to observe elephants in their natural habitat and Unforgettable photo opportunities. It does not cover Elephant riding and Bathing with elephants, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Patong Beach. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Bukit Elephant Park before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

It was an awesome experience being able to see elephants up close and learn about these huge but gentle animals, and feed them. I enjoyed feeding the elephants bananas and rice balls. Our tour guide JJ is very knowledgeable about all the elephants in bukit elephant. These were all rescue elephants and it was heartwarming to see that they look happy and are well looked after by the caretakers at the sanctuary. Would definitely recommend this tour if you want to learn more about elephants and support this ethical sanctuary so it can keep looking after these animals.
It was a very fun and enjoyable activity with the elephants, it was an ethical experience and our tour guide Sara was very funny and helpful with the tour.
Sara our guide was extremely knowledgeable, easy to understand. Making breakfast and feeding the elephants was a highlight of our trip. It great to see no fences and the care that’s is put into these rescued Elephants.
This tour was amazing! Siri was so wonderful and had so much knowledge of the elephants (and we think she should definitely be able to wear shorts - she is professional enough without jeans 😆). We would highly recommend this tour. Loved the stories about princess and her cheeky adventures!!
Great experience! Siri, our tour guide, really showed so much passion for the rescued elephants and provided us with great knowledge. 100% recommend!
Sara was awesome. She was very passionate and her love for the elephants shone through. She made sure the elephants welfare was priority at all times. Amazing experience. Thanks you
It was amazing! I loved how informative our guide was and I liked the fact that we were able to observe the elephants in their natural habitat without disturbing them.
Really a great park and extremely insightful information about the elephants. They really take good care of the elephants and are very careful with them. It’s a really nice park for the rescued elephants and dominated by the elephants and not humans. Very beautiful!
The elephants are treated very kindly, with respect and lovingly. The painful story of each elephant is shared and you get to learn a lot of information about these wonderful creatures. JJ was our guide, she is cheerful and kind, with deep knowlegde about elephants. The tour was excellent and lelf us with a bitter sweet feeling as we were excited to see the wonderful natural set up and the magnificent animals but also became more aware of their suffering and mistreat from organizations who use them for tourist purposes and profit. It is optimistic though to know that at least some people reall
Thanks to all the staff members. Will recommend people going.
Excellent tour, got to walk with the elephants and the team was amazing. Transfer was included which was great. 10/10 recommend. Loved hearing the stories about the elephants being saved and the feeding experience was so good!!
Guide was amazing, it was very sad hearing the elephants past stories but amazing to see their lives now. They seem very happy and loved by their caretakers. The Elephants roam freely there isn’t even a fence keeping them locked away. This is the most ethical I have seen. The fact you can’t touch them shows their feelings are respected. All they do is bath eat and sleep all day, what a great life away from danger. I felt like the guide was also super honest and genuine. Would do this again. Please do go and support as your visit goes straight towards the care of the elephants
