Sumo has six fifteen-day tournaments a year, in Tokyo in January, May and September, Osaka in March, Nagoya in July and Fukuoka in November; tickets for the top division from about 15:00 are the hard ones to get. Kabuki at the Kabukiza in Ginza sells single-act tickets on the day for an hour of the four-hour programme, with an English earphone guide. Baseball at the Tokyo Dome or Koshien is a summer evening with the crowd's synchronised chants.
