Full description

This is a 4-hour experience from Phuket, built around Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon and Viking Cave. It is run by Blue Flow, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Arashiyama, on Kyoto's western edge, is the bamboo grove, the Togetsukyo bridge over the Katsura river, the gardens of Tenryu-ji and the monkey park on the hill above. The bamboo path is about 500 metres and is photographed empty in every guidebook because those photographs are taken before 7:30; by mid-morning it is a procession. Rickshaw runs, the Sagano scenic railway along the gorge, and boat rides down the Hozu rapids all start here. Autumn colour peaks in the second half of November and cherry blossom around the first week of April.

The price covers National Park Fee, Licenced Tour Guide, 4 to 9 Hours tour duration, Snorkeling Equipment and Life Jackets. It does not cover Hotel pickup and drop-off, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Journée parfaite. Les guides ont été très gentils par contre prévoir d'emmener son gilet de sauvetage pour se baigner sur l'ile car sinon c'est interdit il aurait été bon que les guides le précise.

Buona organizzazione, il tempo disponibile presso le isole poteva essere maggiore, rispetto ad altri tour fatti cibo scarso e frugale. Rientro alle 14:30. Bravo il capitano per lo snorkeling

Belle excursion Nous avons vraiment les premiers à Maya Bay le matin. Pas très achalandé même à notre départ (avons été présent de 7h à 8h) Ensuite arrêt de plongée en apnée. Très agréable Suivi du lagon où il y avait malheureusement beaucoup trop de monde pour peu d’espace. La plage de l’île bambou est exceptionnelle. Nous avions aucunement l’impression d’être empilés. La plage est très grande. Plage des singes : ok Petit bémol il y avait beaucoup de gens sur le bateau. Mais somme toute. Ce fut une très belle excursion

Ich empfehle dringend die Maya Bay so früh morgens wie möglich anzuschauen. Wir waren von ca. 7-8 Uhr dort und als wir gingen, bildete sich schon eine Schlange auf dem Weg zum Strand. Meine Highlights waren die Pileh-Lagoon und Bamboo-Island (nur beim Ganztages-Trip). Der Guide war sehr streng und unfreundlich, wurde gegen Ende der Tour etwas lockerer. Vielleicht lag es daran, dass beim Maya Bay ein reibungsloser Ablauf sehr wichtig scheint, da hier massenweise Touristen durchgeschleust werden. Auf Bamboo-Island haben wir noch ein kleines Mittagessen bekommen.

Not in rough sea. The Andaman side is calm from November to April and choppy from May to October, when the marine office can close the piers at short notice; if that happens the operator moves you to the next day or refunds in full. Seasickness tablets the night before help on speedboats, and Maya Bay itself closes to visitors in August and September each year.
