This is a 8-hour experience from Phuket, built around AA Marina, Speedboat and Phang Nga Bay. It is run by Oh-Hoo, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
A private day with a driver-guide is the way to see the most of a Japanese city or region in one day, because it removes the transfers between sights that eat a third of the day on public transport. Overall a pleasant day. The guide Coco was excellent and add loads to the day. This is a speedboat trip for maybe 20 people with multiple stops. It’s a long day which is why I picked the late start as it lets you have more sleep than the other similar trips. You get picked up in the usual shared mini bus, which was on time and clean. Driving made me feel more sick than the boat! First stop is a kayak around Hong Island which was interesting although super busy. Each kayak has a guide who paddles and points out interesting landmarks. We got out for a wee swim. I do t know how they get paid but

Picking up on time and waiting for other boats to return and adding people to the van that weren't on the trip to the boat. Not having the driver stop for deliveries.
The driver was 35mins late picking me up. I missed the welcome meeting and light breakfast. When my hotel reception rang to see where driver was I was interrogated in a way that suggested I hadn't paid for the trip. 10mins later they verified I had booked, booking over looked. Driver sent out straight away. The tour guide had to use a megaphone however the guests sat at the back couldn't hear owing to boat engines. I made her aware at the first stop, but she did nothing about it. Drinks were handed out regularly but the snacks not as frequent. What also annoyed Me was that a photographer kept
