This is a 8-hour experience from Phuket, built around Visitor center, Speedboat and Maya Bay. It is run by Delight Tours and Travels, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Arashiyama, on Kyoto's western edge, is the bamboo grove, the Togetsukyo bridge over the Katsura river, the gardens of Tenryu-ji and the monkey park on the hill above. The bamboo path is about 500 metres and is photographed empty in every guidebook because those photographs are taken before 7:30; by mid-morning it is a procession. Rickshaw runs, the Sagano scenic railway along the gorge, and boat rides down the Hozu rapids all start here. Autumn colour peaks in the second half of November and cherry blossom around the first week of April.

Pickup is offered from Karon, Thep Krasatti, Pa Tong, Mai Khao, Pa Klok and Rawai; the exact spot and time are agreed with Delight Tours and Travels once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

The price covers Hotel pickup and drop-off, Roundtrip transportation by van, Roundtrip transportation by boat, Light breakfast and Tour guide. It does not cover Longtail boat at Pileh, Alcoholic drinks and Tips, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Booked the day before, excellent communication, picked up from our resort, the tour guides super friendly, helpful and explained everything. Breakfast/morning tea, plenty of water and soft drink, huge buffet lunch, and afternoon tea all provided. Booked a private long boat as a bonus once we got to phi phi and hubby went on JetSki, pretty Patty was an amazing tour guide and super friendly and so was TK. Professional cameraman and didn’t miss a pic for us to enjoy. Plenty of time in each spot, snorkelling, sightseeing and exploring. Highly recommend! Dropped back to our resort once returned to

The Andaman side is calm from November to April and choppy from May to October, when the marine office can close the piers at short notice; if that happens the operator moves you to the next day or refunds in full.
