Abholung um 07:00 Uhr an Ihrem Hotel oder am Bahnhof Agra Cantt, um halb acht am Taj, und das ist die richtige Stunde: vor den Reisebussen und solange das Licht noch flach steht.
07:30, Taj Mahal
Shah Jahan ließ ihn ab 1632 als Grabmal für Mumtaz Mahal bauen, die bei der Geburt ihres vierzehnten Kindes starb. Zweiundzwanzig Jahre, zwanzigtausend Arbeiter, Marmor über 400 km von Makrana herangekarrt.
Ihr Guide behandelt, was das Bauwerk ausmacht: die Kalligrafie, in immer größeren Buchstaben geschnitten, damit sie vom Boden aus gleich hoch erscheint; die Pietra dura, bis zu sechzig Steine in einer eingelegten Blüte; die vier Minarette, minimal nach außen geneigt, damit ein Erdbeben sie neben das Grabmal fallen ließe; und die einzige Asymmetrie in einem vollkommen gespiegelten Bau, Shah Jahans eigenes Kenotaph, von Aurangzeb außerhalb der Achse hinzugefügt.
Agra Fort
Akbars Stadt aus rotem Sandstein von 1565, mit Shah Jahans Marmorpalästen darin: dem Diwan-i-Am, dem Khas Mahal, dem Sheesh Mahal. Und dem Musamman Burj, dem achteckigen Turm, in dem Aurangzeb seinen Vater die letzten acht Jahre seines Lebens gefangen hielt, mit dem Taj in Sicht am Fluss.
Fatehpur Sikri
Vierzig Kilometer westlich, und die Stätte, die die meisten Tagestouren streichen, wenn sie in Verzug kommen.
Akbar baute diese Hauptstadt 1571 und gab sie vierzehn Jahre später auf, weil das Wasser ausblieb, und genau deshalb steht sie vollständig da. Niemand lebte lange genug dort, um sie zu verändern.
Das Buland Darwaza, 54 Meter Siegestor, mit einer Inschrift, die Jesus zitiert, in eine Mogulmoschee geschnitten. Der Panch Mahal, fünf offene Geschosse, die nach oben zurücktreten, keine zwei Säulen gleich. Der Diwan-i-Khas, mit einem einzigen geschnitzten Mittelpfeiler und vier Brücken zu den Ecken, wo Akbar saß, während Vertreter verschiedener Glaubensrichtungen um ihn herum stritten. Und der marmorne Dargah des Salim Chishti, an dessen Jali-Gittern noch die Fäden hängen, die Menschen knoten, wenn sie um Kinder bitten.

Salamat Kahn is a very informative guide, who takes care of his guests- pictures, history behind every corner, etc. The tour has been very nice and complete.
Overall we had an excellent day all due to the trip being planned out very well by the tour company . Our guide Iqrar was very knowledgeable, spoke good English & managed the Taj tour flawlessly. He even times our entry when the crowds was less in the monument , along with knowing the right spots to take the best photos . Anish was our tour guide at Fatehpur Sikri and he too was excellent , knowledgeable , hilarious and great at photography Can’t miss Bhagat Singh our excellent driver , was always on time and managed our travel well too. Only feedback is that option of food selection should be corrected while selection as it’s not at the Courtyard Marriott’s and we ended up at Bon Barbecue .
It was really an amazing day trip having Abdul as our tour guide and Bhagat Singh as the driver. They were very patient and accommodating all throughout our tour. Learned a lot about Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The car is also clean and air-conditioned. Abdul is also super pro-active in taking picture of us. Recommended.

Great experience visiting Agra and Fatehpur Sikri. Everyone was very professional, friendly and helpful throughout the tour. A special mention to our driver Bhagat, who was extremely patient, spoke excellent English and went out of his way to help us find the right pick-up point for our bus after the tour. Definitely recommended!
Bhagat and Imitiaz were great hosts. Lots of great photos taken and information given. They do take you to a few souvenir places which are more pricey than the local markets. Overall a great experience.
this was great! the driver was very helpful and kind, he arranged everything we needed and even recommended some good other places to go, he was happy to keep the car silent or when we asked he showed us some Indian music. he recommended a restaurant for lunch and I think I would have liked it even more if he had offered either a traditional restaurant or something European friendly as he took us to a very nice Indian restaurant buy you could tell it mainly caters to white people (like us) because the food has no spice and I would have loved to have tried something very traditional for Northern India. However this did not take away from our amazing day and I really want to thank Bhagat Singh and all the tour guides who went out of the way to make everything very special, take plenty of photos and give really investing information about the history of these monuments

Bhagat Singh the driver for the trip was extremely punctual and patient. Salamat Khan the guide gave historical insights about the monuments in a lucid manner. Both were well mannered individuals.
