Die Route führt durch Straßen aus der Mogulzeit und die Havelis von Kaufmannsfamilien, vorbei an kleinen Tempeln, die überhaupt keine Besucher sehen, und in die Handwerkswerkstätten, die die Stadt noch immer versorgen. Marmor-Einlegearbeit ist das Gewerbe, für das Agra bekannt ist, dieselbe Pietra-dura-Technik wie am Taj, ausgeübt von Familien, die ihr Können auf die Handwerker zurückführen, die ihn gebaut haben.
