Sonnenaufgang oder Sonnenuntergang, und das sind wirklich zwei verschiedene Besuche.
Der Taj verändert sich im Lauf des Tages stärker, als es ein Foto vermuten lässt, und diese Tour lässt Sie wählen, welche Fassung Sie bekommen.
Der Sonnenaufgang ist der ruhigere. Die Anlage öffnet etwa eine halbe Stunde vor Tagesanbruch, und die erste Gruppe hat sie fast für sich. Der Marmor wirkt grau, färbt sich dann rosa und bleibt weiß, sobald die Sonne hinter der Kuppel über den Horizont steigt. Zwischen April und Juli ist es zudem die einzige angenehme Möglichkeit.
Der Sonnenuntergang ist wärmer und voller. Das Licht kommt aus dem Westen auf die Front des Bauwerks statt von hinten, der Marmor geht also in Gold und Bernstein über, und die Schatten in der Einlegearbeit treten hervor wie zur Mittagszeit nie. Es sind mehr Menschen da, aber die Temperatur fällt, statt zu steigen.
Wenn Sie rein nach Fotos entscheiden, nehmen Sie den Sonnenaufgang. Wenn Sie kein Morgenmensch sind, ist der Sonnenuntergang eine echte Alternative und kein Trostpreis.
