Deux jours, parce qu'un seul ne suffit pas vraiment.
L'excursion d'une journée à Agra passe six heures en voiture pour peut-être cinq heures de visite. Passer la nuit sur place change tout le calcul : vous voyez le Taj deux fois sous des lumières différentes, vous ne surveillez pas l'horloge, et la route se répartit sur deux jours au lieu d'encadrer une seule.
Premier jour
Prise en charge à votre hôtel ou à l'aéroport de Delhi en voiture climatisée privée, puis la Yamuna Expressway jusqu'à Agra. Après-midi au fort d'Agra, et le Taj Mahal dans la lumière de fin de journée, quand le marbre se réchauffe. Installation à l'hôtel pour la nuit.
Deuxième jour
Retour au Taj au lever du soleil, qui est vraiment un autre édifice que celui de la veille : moins de monde, un air plus frais, et la couleur qui passe du gris au rose puis au blanc. Après le petit-déjeuner, il reste du temps pour Itimad-ud-Daulah ou Fatehpur Sikri selon l'option choisie, puis le retour vers Delhi.

Le Taj est fermé le vendredi, et ce programme le visite deux fois : vérifiez donc vos dates avec soin.

L'entrée au lever du soleil suppose de quitter l'hôtel vers 5 h 30. C'est le meilleur moment du séjour.
