Sept jours, et le safari a droit à deux tentatives

Le Triangle d'or avec Ranthambore en plus, et assez de temps pour que le parc ait deux safaris plutôt qu'un. Les observations relèvent de la probabilité, et deux sorties doublent à peu près les chances.

Jour 1 : Delhi

Accueil à l'arrivée et transfert à votre hôtel, la soirée servant à récupérer.

Delhi

La Jama Masjid et un cyclo-pousse à travers Chandni Chowk, tracé dans les années 1650 avec un canal en son centre. Raj Ghat, où Gandhi a été incinéré en 1948. Puis India Gate, le tombeau de Humayun, le tombeau-jardin moghol des années 1560 dont descend le Taj, et le Qutub Minar avec son pilier de fer qui ne rouille pas.

Agra

Le Taj Mahal, au mieux au lever du soleil quand le marbre passe du gris au rose puis au blanc, avec une fraction de la foule de la fin de matinée. Le fort d'Agra, et le Musamman Burj où Aurangzeb a emprisonné son père pendant huit ans, avec le Taj en vue le long de la rivière.

Fatehpur Sikri sur la route vers le sud : la capitale d'Akbar de 1571, abandonnée au bout de quatorze ans quand l'eau a manqué, et intacte pour cette raison même.

Ranthambore

1 300 kilomètres carrés de forêt sèche décidue autour d'un fort de colline du dixième siècle qui se dresse toujours à l'intérieur de la réserve. Environ soixante-dix tigres y vivent, exceptionnellement habitués aux véhicules, et c'est pourquoi c'est le meilleur parc à tigres du nord de l'Inde.

Les safaris partent tôt le matin et en milieu d'après-midi, en gypsy ouverte ou en canter, sur une zone attribuée par le département des forêts. Certains quoi qu'il arrive, tigres ou pas : sambars, chitals, nilgauts, langurs et crocodiles au bord des lacs.

Jaipur

Le fort d'Amber au-dessus du lac Maota, le City Palace, le Jantar Mantar et le Hawa Mahal, avec une soirée dans les bazars.
