L'histoire, mise en scène

Vous aurez passé la journée à regarder un tombeau. Voici l'histoire qui l'a fait construire, jouée par environ quatre-vingts acteurs, de danseurs et de musiciens au Kalakriti Cultural and Convention Centre d'Agra.

Quatre-vingt-dix minutes, chaque soir, dans une salle construite pour cela, climatisée et à places réservées, ce qui après une journée sur la pierre brûlante est déjà un argument en soi.

Ce que couvre le spectacle

Shah Jahan et Mumtaz Mahal : la rencontre, le mariage, les campagnes militaires qu'elle a suivies avec lui, sa mort en 1631 en donnant naissance à leur quatorzième enfant, et les vingt-deux années de construction qui ont suivi.

La production le raconte en danse de cour et en théâtre : costumes moghols, musique live, décor tournant, et une réplique grandeur nature du Taj qui s'assemble sur scène. C'est assumé comme un spectacle plutôt qu'un documentaire, et c'est très bien fait dans son genre.

Langue

Joué avec une narration en hindi et en anglais, si bien que l'histoire passe que vous suiviez les dialogues ou non.

Pourquoi cela vaut une soirée

Agra se vide après le coucher du soleil. Les monuments ferment, la plupart des visiteurs sont rentrés à l'hôtel à sept heures, et il n'y a pas grand-chose à faire. Cela comble ce creux, et les gens repartent voir le Taj le lendemain matin avec un autre regard.

Cela fonctionne aussi très bien en famille : les enfants suivent sans peine.

Shiv, the driver, was punctual & communìcated very well as I couldn’t locate him initially. He is very courteous & is a professional driver. We arrived in advance of the show which allowed me to relax. The show itself was absolutely amazing!!!

Spettacolo interessante (leggero, stile Bollywood), autista puntuale, biglietti in prima fila. Unico neo selezionata audioguida in francese invece era disponibile solamente in inglese.

Nice show with beautiful costumes. Got a great seat - even booking very last minute. Baba, the driver, made sure everything went smoothly and was there on time to pick me up after the show.

The communication from the tour company was great. Driver super nice. I loved the costumes. I wish there was a little more background on the story of how they fell in love as opposed to just showing them in love.

il FAUT absolument voir ce spectacle. C'est juste magnifique : les danses, les tenues, les chorégraphies, les décors : tout est magnifique. Et le must: c'est traduit en 9 langues dont le Français. Quant à l'organisation, rien à dire : tout est ponctuel même si on ne parle pas l'anglais. No stress. Ce spectacle est le complément Indispensable à la visite de AGRA.

Si vous souhaitez que sister a ce spectacle, je vous conseille de vous rendre sur place et d’acheter le billet directement à la billetterie puis prendre un tuk tuk ou Uber pour vous y rendre. C’est 10 fois moins cher. Sinon le spectacle était majestueux. Nous qui avons fait la visite le jour même. Tout a pris son sens.

Super expérience , très beau spectacle . Cela permet de bien comprendre l’histoire avec en plus l audio guide en français. Transport nickel mais un peu cher.
