Description complète

This street food tour was one of the absolute highlights of our stay in Agra. After several disappointing restaurant recommendations, we were so happy we booked this experience. Farman picked us up at the hotel in a riksha and then took us through the lively market streets of Agra, which was an experience in itself. He was an excellent guide – patient, knowledgeable, and always happy to stop and explain local culture, traditions, and the food. We even visited a temple along the way. The variety of food was amazing. We tasted things we would never have tried on our own and visited places we never would have found ourselves. Everything was delicious, authentic, and carefully selected – and despite all the street food, neither of us had any stomach problems afterward. This tour gave us a real feeling for local life and culture. Highly recommended – 100% worth it..

I arrived in Agra and immediately booked a tour for 4pm. I realized it would be my only time to visit Taj during the sunset so I connected with Farman to push back tour to 6. He was very accommodating and allowed the extension. As a solo female traveler I felt he was responsible and a good walking companion through the markets. He gave good recommendation for the sweet naan sheermal. Would come again!

The tour was great and informative. Tour guide was knowledgeable and was a chance to really see the real Agra and how the locals lived, some of the great street foods, learn more about the history, etc. The only thing I don’t like about all of the tours is taking us to a shop to “learn” about how they do a craft. Our guide took us to a rug weaving place which was fine, but it always turns out to be a high pressure sales pitch where you’re made to feel bad if you don’t buy something. I know that these guides get a good commission if we do buy and they are just trying to earn a good living, but I would love just a tour that focuses only on the tour and not taking us to some big sales pitch. I’ve been to India 20 times and am familiar with all the tricks but many people are unsuspecting and find themselves in a situation where they feel enormous pressure to buy something- especially when the tour guide leaves you alone with them. I would pay more for a tour without the sales pitch.

The food tour is well worth doing, we had a great time, tried delicious food and saw streets and sights we never would have otherwise. Our driver and our guide, Farman, were fantastic.

This is a must do tour if you want to experience street life amongst the locals who shop in the very streets you will visit. Given this is the ‘local’ street scene as a tourist you are not hounded by the hawkers and beggars you will find around the main tourist centres. Here you are left alone and can browse and chat with the vendors without being pressured to buy. The Tuk-tuk was new and very clean and Farman our guide was very good at explaining the area and the sites we saw along the way where we stopped to sample some of the street food and chai. Whilst the cost was reasonable I would perhaps suggest the cheaper option without food included is better value and then buy your food as you go. Hotel pick up was faultless and on time and I can thoroughly recommend this tour.

Farmaan was great, a patient, friendly and funny guide with lots of knowledge, we didn’t feel rushed at all and really enjoyed our experience. We travelled by tuktuk and felt safe all the while! Without a guide and driver we wouldn’t have had a clue how to navigate the market, thank you Farmaan!

Tour was super fun!! Definitely a must do in Agra, we would never have been able to find or navigate Old Agra without Farman. He took us around to have some delicious bites and gave us a lot of history and backgriund about the area. The tuk tuk ride was great also! Farman also took us shopping and let us roam around for a while before brining us back to the hotel. Definitely recommend doing this in addition to the Taj Mahalo on your Agra trip!
