De Jaipur au Taj pour le lever du soleil

Jaipur-Agra, c'est 240 km, quatre à cinq heures par Bharatpur. Pour être à la porte à l'ouverture, on part en pleine nuit, ce qui paraît déraisonnable et c'est la seule façon d'avoir le lever du soleil sans changer d'hôtel.

Le lever du soleil au Taj

Les portes ouvrent une demi-heure avant le soleil. Le marbre se lit gris, puis rose, puis blanc froid à mesure que la lumière arrive au-dessus de la rive opposée de la Yamuna ; en décembre et janvier il y a de la brume sur le fleuve derrière le dôme, et la foule n'est qu'un cinquième de ce qu'elle deviendra en milieu de matinée.

Shah Jahan l'a commencé en 1632, l'année suivant la mort de Mumtaz Mahal en donnant naissance à leur quatorzième enfant. Vingt mille ouvriers, vingt-deux ans, et du marbre acheminé sur 400 km depuis Makrana, les mêmes carrières rajasthanies qui ont fourni la moitié du marbre que vous aurez vu à Jaipur.

Le fort d'Agra

La ville de grès rouge d'Akbar, 1565, avec les palais de marbre de son petit-fils à l'intérieur : le Diwan-i-Am, le Sheesh Mahal, et le Musamman Burj, la tour où ce petit-fils a passé ses huit dernières années prisonnier, regardant en aval le tombeau qu'il avait fait construire.

Saif was great guide in Taj Mahaj we learn a lot of things about Indian culture and we enjoyed our time. We got early just in time to the sunrise and after that Agra Forte and also some jewelry shops. I highly recommended. Also the driver was very nice Nand we picked us on time and the trip was safe. We loved our guide and all of his interesting, unique facts. He was very charasmatic and accommodating and answered ALL of our questions. We also loved that he gave us space to do our own thing and arrange to our personal ongoing needs seamlessly. He offered us opportunities to see some handicraftsmen and also opt out when we weren’t feeling it. The driver was really good too, we felt comfortable the whole time. HHe was even early to pick us up! The car was top notch, great AC, leather seats, with plenty of space for 5 people!

Thank you so much for our guide Saif ! It was an amazing day. The driver picked us up at 2AM and we went to see Taj Mahal around 6AM. It was beautiful with the sunrise and we skip most of the crowd. After that we went for a nice breakfast at a local restaurant, then to a local shop for beautiful jewelry. We finished the tour with the visit of Agra fort and lunch.

Saif was a great tour guide. He met our driver who took us from Jaipur at 5:40am and we were one of first ones into the Taj Mahal. He was laid back and informative. He took excellent pictures of our group. He knew all of the history and got us around town.

It was amazing. The driver picked us up early in the morning and drove us to Agra. We arrived at around 6.00 am and we went straight to the Taj Mahal then to Agra Fort with the guide, Amit jha. The tour guide explained the story of the place very well, and helped us take photos. The photos he took with our phone was very beautiful and very professional. Overall it’s an amazing piece experience. Very recommended!

Akbar has been an awesome guide. He made my visit as a solo female traveller, very efficient and comfortable. Akbar is very knowledgeable and has gone out of his way for me. Akbar’s pace allowed me to have sufficient time at the attractions to absorb the atmosphere. I didn’t have to worry about anything.
