La première heure, la seule qui compte vraiment.
Il y a une vraie différence entre le Taj à 6 h et le Taj à 11 h, et elle n'a rien de subtil. À l'ouverture, le complexe accueille quelques centaines de personnes plutôt que plusieurs milliers, le marbre est assez frais pour y marcher, et la pierre passe du gris au rose puis au blanc à mesure que le soleil monte derrière le dôme. En fin de matinée, c'est un bâtiment blanc et brûlant rempli de monde.
Cette visite existe pour vous y amener au premier de ces deux moments.
Comment ça se passe
Prise en charge à votre hôtel en voiture climatisée, à une heure calculée pour arriver à la porte avant l'ouverture. Entrée coupe-file, donc vous passez la billetterie et entrez avec le premier groupe. Votre guide privé vous fait découvrir l'arrivée par la porte, les jardins, la plateforme et l'intérieur, à un rythme dicté par la lumière plutôt que par un horaire, puis retour à votre hôtel.

L'heure du lever du soleil change au fil de l'année, environ 6 h 45 fin décembre et 5 h 15 en juin : l'heure de prise en charge suit la saison. Nous confirmons la vôtre à la réservation.

De novembre à février, le brouillard venu de la Yamuna peut masquer le dôme la première heure. Il se dissipe en général vers neuf heures, et tant qu'il dure, il donne des photographies impossibles à obtenir à une autre saison.
Prévoyez une couche supplémentaire. Agra avant l'aube en hiver est vraiment froide, quoi que fasse l'après-midi.
