Le premier groupe à entrer a le site presque pour lui seul, le marbre est frais, et la pierre passe du gris au rose puis au blanc quand le soleil franchit l'horizon derrière le dôme. Deux heures plus tard, c'est un bâtiment blanc et brûlant rempli de monde.

Le lever du soleil se déplace au fil de l'année : environ 6h45 fin décembre, 5h15 en juin. Votre heure d'arrivée suit, et nous la confirmons à la réservation.
De novembre à février, la brume de la rivière peut masquer le dôme pendant la première heure. Elle produit des photos impossibles à obtenir le reste de l'année, mais si vous voulez un lever de soleil dégagé, évitez fin décembre et janvier.
