Trois heures, c'est la bonne durée pour le Taj. Assez pour parcourir les jardins, entrer dans le mausolée et faire le tour jusqu'à la terrasse sur la rivière. Assez court pour repartir avant le milieu de journée, quand le marbre renvoie la chaleur et que l'affluence atteint son maximum.
Comment ça se passe
Votre guide vous retrouve à l'entrée, billets déjà en main : vous passez par la file d'accès au lieu de faire la queue pour les acheter. Depuis la Grande Porte, vous découvrez la première vue encadrée du dôme, puis les jardins et le bassin, la plateforme principale, et l'intérieur avec les cénotaphes et les claustras de marbre sculpté. Votre guide revient sur la construction, le travail d'incrustation, la calligraphie dont la taille augmente à mesure qu'elle s'élève pour se lire de façon régulière depuis le sol, et sur celles des fameuses histoires de Shah Jahan qui tiennent vraiment la route.
