The all-inclusive version of the Agra day from Delhi. Entry fees are in the price rather than sold separately, so there is nothing to settle at any gate, and the itinerary covers all three of the city's major Mughal buildings rather than just the famous one.
What you see
Taj Mahal at sunrise. You leave Delhi in the dark to be at the gate when it opens. The first hour has a fraction of the crowd and the marble genuinely shifts colour as the light arrives.
Agra Fort, red sandstone outside and marble within, where the Diwan-i-Am, the Jahangir Palace and the Musamman Burj sit on one circuit. Shah Jahan was held in that tower by his son, looking across the river at the Taj.
Itimad-ud-Daulah, the Baby Taj, built by Nur Jahan for her father two decades before the Taj. It is the first Mughal building faced entirely in white marble with inlay work, small enough to examine closely, and usually almost empty.
