Full description

Day trip Fatehpur Sikri tour with Agra fort from Agra city. Visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in one day.

This special tour is designed for travelers who truly want to experience India’s Mughal heritage, as both Fatehpur Sikri and Agra Fort are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. During this full-day tour, you will explore both historic monuments in one day, starting from Agra city.

Fatehpur Sikri

Fatehpur Sikri is a magnificent Mughal palace complex built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. Inside the monument, you will visit famous structures such as the Jami Masjid, Buland Darwaza, Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti, Khass Mahal, Panch Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am, Anup Talao, Khwabgah, Mina Bazaar, and Chaupar.

Emperor Akbar (1556–1605), the grandson of Babur, relocated his capital from Agra to Sikri from 1572 to 1585 to honor the famous Sufi saint Sheikh Salim Chishti, who blessed him with a son, later named Salim (Emperor Jahangir). Akbar had great respect for the saint, and the city became an important center of Mughal culture and architecture.

Agra Fort

Agra Fort is a stunning fort made of red sandstone and white marble, showcasing the finest Mughal architecture. The fort has a semicircular layout and is surrounded by massive double walls that stretch about 2.5 km in perimeter and rise nearly 70 feet high.

The fort has four gates: Delhi Gate, Amar Singh Gate, Hathi Pol, and Ghazni Gate. Among them, the Delhi Gate was the grand ceremonial entrance used by Emperor Akbar.

Inside the fort, you will explore impressive palaces and halls, including Akbar’s Palace, Jahangir Palace, Shah Jahan Palace, Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Sheesh Mahal, Moti Masjid, and Amar Singh Gate.

Your professional tour guide will share detailed historical information and also help you capture beautiful photos from the best photography points inside the monuments — perfect for social media and lifelong memories.

This tour also includes skip-the-line entry, allowing you to enter Agra Fort smoothly without waiting in long queues.
