Frequently Asked Questions

Your ticket includes reserved seating at Rajadamnern Stadium, one of Bangkok's two legendary Muay Thai venues operating since 1945. You get access to the full fight card — typically 8-10 bouts ranging from undercard matches to championship-level fights. The atmosphere is electric with live commentary, cheering crowds, and traditional Wai Kru dance rituals before each bout. No food or drinks are included but vendors inside the stadium sell Thai snacks and beverages.
Fight nights at Rajadamnern Stadium typically begin at 6:00 PM with the first bout, and the main event finishes around 10:00-10:30 PM. Doors open approximately 30 minutes before the first fight. We recommend arriving early to secure the best views and soak in the pre-fight atmosphere. Combine it with a late-night Chinatown street food tour afterward — the stadium is just 10 minutes from Chinatown.
Ringside seats put you within arm's reach of the action — you'll feel the impact of every kick and elbow. Second class offers elevated stadium seating with excellent sightlines. Third class is the cheapest and places you among the most passionate Thai bettors — an authentic cultural experience in itself. For first-time visitors, we recommend second class for the best balance of proximity and comfort. All classes have unobstructed views of the ring.
Children ages 10 and up generally enjoy the spectacle — the Wai Kru dance, live music, and crowd energy make it exciting. However, Muay Thai is a full-contact combat sport with real strikes, so younger or sensitive children may find it intense. There's no age restriction but use your judgment. For a more family-friendly Thai cultural evening, consider the river dinner cruise with cultural show instead.
Rajadamnern Stadium is located on Ratchadamnoen Nok Road near the Khao San Road area. The easiest way to get there is by taxi or Grab (about 100-200 THB from central Bangkok). The nearest BTS/MRT stations are a 15-20 minute walk. After the fights, taxis and tuk-tuks line up outside the venue. If you're staying near Khao San Road, it's a pleasant 10-minute walk.
Betting is a massive part of Muay Thai culture and you'll see Thai spectators making frantic hand signals throughout every bout. However, organized betting is technically restricted to Thai nationals. As a tourist, you should enjoy the spectacle rather than try to participate in the betting pools. The energy of the betting crowd — especially in third-class seats — is part of what makes Rajadamnern an unforgettable experience.
Both are premier Muay Thai venues but Rajadamnern (est. 1945) is the older and more traditional of the two. It's located in the historic district near Khao San Road, making it more convenient for tourists. Lumpinee recently moved to a newer facility in the Ram Intra area, further from central Bangkok. Fight quality is comparable at both venues — Rajadamnern hosts championship bouts on most fight nights and the atmosphere is widely considered more authentic.
There's no strict dress code — casual clothing and comfortable shoes are fine. The stadium is air-conditioned in the seated sections but can still get warm with the crowd energy. Avoid wearing red or blue as these are the fighter corner colors and may cause confusion. Bring a light jacket as the AC can be strong in ringside areas. Photography is allowed but flash photography is prohibited during active bouts.
No — once you exit the stadium, re-entry is not permitted with the same ticket. Make sure you've eaten beforehand or plan to buy snacks inside. Restrooms are available inside the venue. The full fight card takes about 4 hours, so come prepared for an evening-long experience. If you want dinner before, the backstreets food tour with 15 tastings is a great pre-fight option.
Tickets are non-refundable once confirmed as they are allocated seating passes for a specific fight night. However, date changes may be possible with 48 hours' notice depending on availability. Contact us via WhatsApp immediately if your plans change. Fight cards are occasionally rescheduled by the stadium — in that case, your ticket transfers automatically to the new date or a full refund is issued.
