Description complète

12:00 — Hotel Pickup & Drive to Samet Nangshe | 1.5 hours
Your English-speaking guide picks you up from your hotel in Phuket in a private air-conditioned vehicle. The drive takes you north through Phang Nga province — lush green countryside, rubber plantations, and quiet villages that give you a taste of southern Thai life outside the tourist zones.
---
13:30 — Lunch & Samet Nangshe Viewpoint | 1 hour
Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the famous Samet Nangshe Viewpoint. A short transfer takes you to the top, where you'll be rewarded with one of Thailand's most jaw-dropping panoramic views — Phang Nga Bay's iconic limestone karsts rising dramatically from emerald-green waters, stretching as far as the eye can see. This is a photographer's paradise and the perfect way to set the scene for the evening ahead.
---
15:00 — Board Private Longtail Boat | 30 minutes
Arrive at a charming local fishing village pier near Phang Nga Bay. Here, your private longtail boat is waiting. You'll cruise out into the bay as the afternoon sun begins to soften, with limestone formations towering on every side.
---
15:30 — James Bond Island | 45 minutes
Your first major stop is Khao Phing Kan, better known as James Bond Island after its starring role in 'The Man with the Golden Gun' (1974). The towering needle-like rock formation (Ko Tapu) rising from the shallow water is one of the most photographed sights in Thailand.
By arriving in the late afternoon, you avoid the crowds of daytime tour boats entirely. It's just you, your group, and the stunning natural scenery. Walk along the beach, explore the cave formations, and take photos without jostling for space.
---
16:30 — Canoeing at Koh Talu | 30 minutes
Paddle through a natural rock archway at Koh Talu island. Limestone cliffs rise on both sides as you glide through clear, calm waters. The late afternoon light filtering through the cave entrance creates a magical atmosphere — it's peaceful, beautiful, and unlike anything you'll find on a daytime group tour.
---
17:15 — Koh Panyee Floating Village | 45 minutes
Visit one of Thailand's most unique communities — Koh Panyee, a village built entirely on stilts over the sea by Muslim fishermen more than 200 years ago. Today, around 1,500 people still live here. Walk through narrow wooden walkways, browse small market stalls selling local crafts and snacks, and watch the sunset paint the bay in warm orange and pink hues.
---
19:00 — Bioluminescent Plankton at Koh Hong | 45 minutes
This is the highlight of the entire tour. As night falls over Phang Nga Bay, you'll kayak into the dark waters around Koh Hong, where bioluminescent plankton light up the sea with every movement.
Every paddle stroke creates a trail of glowing blue-green light. Every splash from your hand sends ripples of neon across the water's surface. Surrounded by the dark silhouettes of massive limestone cliffs and the sound of gentle waves, it feels like something from another planet.
This natural phenomenon is caused by tiny dinoflagellate organisms that emit light when agitated. The darker the night and the calmer the conditions, the more spectacular the display. Your guide will explain the science behind it while you float through this natural light show.
---
20:00 — Return to Pier & Hotel Drop-off | 2 hours
Cruise back to the fishing village pier under the stars. Board your private vehicle for the drive back to Phuket. You'll arrive at your hotel around 22:00 — tired, amazed, and carrying memories that most visitors to Phuket never get to experience.

Avis des voyageurs
This trip is really worth it. First of all, the guide Mai explained everything very well and everything was very well planned. She is sweet and funny. The van driver Kai was really nice and a really good driver and even though the van trip is a bit long, it was worth it. The kayak guy was again such a nice man and tried his best to take beautiful photos and he was very creative and it is worth it to choose this option. There were a lot of monkeys at the temple and Mai warned us about how they steal your food. Very cute and smart. The lunch is very generous and many options. The floating village is interesting, but a bit pricey when it comes to souvenirs. It was a nice stop nonetheless. The trip ended with the waterfall and a snack. It was a good trip with many diverse activities and you do not get bored. There is not much swimming time but it is mentioned in the trip details so that was not a surprise. Overall, it was a wonderful trip and I recommend it.
It was a great trip, well organised and full of attractions. We had a great time.
Our guide Mai was brilliant - she outlined the itinerary in detail when everyone was on the minivan. She gave us clear instructions venue by venue. The trip itself was a highlight for us - James Bond island and the buffet lunch on the floating village. We were well looked after which made the trip even more special. Some pointers - you can get wet on the long boat because of the splash and wash the boat creates, and the view point to see the famous James Bond rock is busy with boatloads of tourists, plus local sellers trying to get you to buy their souvenirs. But overall, an excellent trip and certainly worth doing.
Doing James Bond Island in the evening was the best decision of our whole Phuket trip. We practically had the place to ourselves while the limestone cliffs turned gold. But the plankton at Koh Hong genuinely made me gasp — every paddle lit up blue in the dark. Our guide was calm, funny and knew exactly where the glow would be strongest.
The private longtail made this feel special rather than a factory tour. Samet Nangshe viewpoint at sunset was unreal, and paddling through the cave arch at Koh Talu was so peaceful. Koh Panyee floating village on stilts was fascinating too. Worth every baht for the six of us. The plankton has to be seen to be believed.
We booked this for our anniversary and it delivered magic. Being at James Bond Island with almost nobody around felt like a secret. The boxed picnic was simple but fine, and the cold drinks kept coming. Kayaking among glowing plankton after dark was the most romantic thing we have ever done. Highly recommend the evening version over the day trips.
A beautiful and unusual experience overall. The empty viewpoint and quiet James Bond Island were highlights, and the guide was excellent. My only note is the drive out is around an hour and the day finishes quite late, so we were tired by drop-off. The plankton was a little faint the night we went due to the moon, but still lovely.
Fantastic private tour with our two kids, aged nine and twelve. The pace was relaxed and the canoeing was fully guided so nobody had to work hard. My children were absolutely mesmerised by the glowing water at Koh Hong. Pickup from our Kata hotel was smooth and on time. A memory the whole family will keep forever.
Skipping the daytime crowds is the whole point and it works brilliantly. Golden light over Phang Nga Bay, a private boat, and a guide who tailored the stops to us. Koh Panyee was more interesting than I expected. The bioluminescence at the end was surreal, like paddling through stars. Bring a light jacket, it gets breezy after sunset.
Genuinely one of the most unique things we did in Thailand. The longtail boat rides between the karsts at dusk were gorgeous and the sea cave at Koh Talu was so quiet and still. Our guide explained the plankton clearly and picked a dark spot for the best glow. The included park fees meant no surprise costs on the day.
A really memorable evening and I loved having James Bond Island crowd-free. Four stars only because the picnic box was on the small side, so eat well before pickup or pack snacks. That aside, the private longtail, the sunset viewpoint and especially the glowing plankton were worth it. Our guide was friendly and safety-conscious getting us in and out of the canoes.
