Il tour di Mandawa è stato davvero meraviglioso. Il posto vanta incantevoli haveli, alcuni restaurati e altri no: vale sicuramente la pena vederli. La nostra guida, Monty, è stata molto professionale e chiara nello spiegare la cultura e l'arte locale, guidandoci attraverso la tranquilla città e suggerendoci un delizioso pranzo in un antico haveli. Anche il nostro autista Madhu é stato molto professionale e attento nella guida.

Busy traffic out of Jaipur in the morning and on our return journey in the evening, meant rather long travel times. However, we felt comfortable and safe with Pareek as our skilful driver. Our excellent guide Harshit chatted to us on the way and we felt well prepared to experience the unique town of Mandawa on arrival. I doubt we would have obtained the same access to the Haveli without Harshit ( and a local resident who accompanied us throughout) The ancient paintings outside and inside the buildings are truly an “open air art gallery” although both paintings and buildings desperately need some loving restoration in many cases. All in all a recommended day trip from Jaipur
