Ranthambores Morgensafari ist der bessere Slot, die Raubkatzen bewegen sich im ersten Licht und ruhen sich am Vormittag aus, und ein Tagesausflug von Jaipur erreicht das nicht. Das ist das ganze Argument für die Übernachtung.

Tag 1: Jaipur nach Ranthambore

Eine morgendliche Fahrt von etwa 180 km durch das ländliche Rajasthan, drei Stunden, mit Ankunft rechtzeitig zur Nachmittags-Safari.

Tag 2: Morgendämmerungs-Safari, dann zurück

Die Morgenfahrt, und dann die Heimfahrt.

Der Park

Ein Jagdrevier eines Maharadschas, bevor er 1980 zum Nationalpark wurde. 1.300 Quadratkilometer trockener Laubwald, Grasland und felsiger Grat, mit Seen, die die Tierwelt konzentrieren, während die Trockenzeit fortschreitet.
