Ab Jaipur: private Tour zum Stufenbrunnen von Abhaneri. Diese Tour ist sehr besonders fuer alle, die alte Dinge in Rajasthan sehen moechten.

Abhaneri ist bekannt fuer seinen "Baori" oder Stufenbrunnen, der von den Einheimischen erfunden wurde, um Regenwasser zu sammeln. Der Baori wurde als kuehler Rueckzugsort und als Wasserquelle/Reservoir in trockenen Zeiten des Jahres genutzt. Chand Baori bleibt einer der tiefsten und groessten Stufenbrunnen Indiens. Der Baori besteht aus drei Treppenlaeufen, die in die Erde hinabfuehren, mit einem unterirdischen Palast auf einer Seite. Die Treppenlaeufe und der Palast sind alle in einem quadratischen Muster angeordnet, wobei der Brunnen ganz unten liegt. Die Treppe reicht dreizehn Stockwerke tief. Der Palast am Boden des Baori war ein Ort, an dem die Koenigsfamilie waehrend heisser Sommertage verweilte. Es gibt einen grossen Innenhof rund um den Baori, von dem aus man grossartige Ausblicke auf den Baori hat. Rund um den Innenhof gibt es ueberdachte Bereiche mit kunstvoll geschnitzten Sandstein-Artefakten/Idolen, die bis ins X. Jahrhundert zurueckreichen.
