Eine Safari, und am selben Abend zurück in Ihrem Hotel in Jaipur.

Ranthambore liegt etwa vier Stunden von Jaipur. Es als Tagesausflug zu machen heißt eine Safari statt zwei, und das zählt: Sichtungen hängen von Zone, Zeitpunkt und Glück ab, ein einziger Versuch ist also etwas wirklich anderes als zwei. Was Sie behalten, ist Ihr Hotel und Ihr Zeitplan.

Der Park

Um ein Fort aus dem 10. Jahrhundert herum entstanden, mit trockenem Laubwald, der darum aufgewachsen ist. Alte Tore, Chhatris und ein Stufenbrunnen liegen über das Reservat verstreut, was Ranthambore ein Aussehen gibt, das kein anderer indischer Park hat.

Es hat eine echte Tigerpopulation, und die Tiere hier sind an Fahrzeuge gewöhnt, was die Sichtungsquoten erklärt. Dazu Leopard, Lippenbär, Sambar, Sumpfkrokodil, und eine lange Vogelliste.
